Summer in Lhasa is truly delightful, neither too hot nor too cold. The city seamlessly blends ancient heritage with modern flair. We chose to stay right by the bustling Jokhang Temple, surrounded by ******* charm. My two kids even had some ethnic photos taken. We freely roamed the alleyways, sipping sweet tea and munching on fried potatoes, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the old city. Our hotel's location was incredibly convenient for strolls and explorations, and we felt safe walking around late into the night. The front desk staff, particularly Ms. Zhuoga, was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was extensive, and the toasted bread was delicious. She also directed us to the rooftop restaurant, where we could enjoy stunning views of both the Potala Palace and the glittering Jokhang Temple at night – a truly spectacular photo op! Live well, earn well, embrace the beautiful scenery, and treat yourself to these experiences!

Right inside Barkhor Street, and very close to Jokhang Temple. The room was spacious and very clean, with complete and functional facilities. The service was warm and friendly, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. They have a private parking lot, which makes parking convenient.

The front desk staff, Yangji, provided excellent service. The hotel environment was comfortable and the restaurant was very good.

Traveling to Tibet with friends, we booked the Thangka Hotel based on online recommendations, and it truly lived up to expectations! The location is fantastic, right in Barkhor Street. You can even see Jokhang Temple from your window! Although the hotel has been around for a while, it has all the facilities you need, maintains high standards, and offers excellent service. The bellboy brought our luggage directly to the room. We requested a non-smoking and quiet room, and we were pleased that there was no smoke smell. Overall, our requests were met. We noticed quite a few international guests staying here. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety of options! Furthermore, the security supervisor, Denzin Phuntsok, provided excellent service as well. 👍 Overall, I highly recommend this hotel! Great review!

This isn't my first time staying here. It's super convenient, right next to Jokhang Temple, and within walking distance. Plus, they have parking! The rooftop restaurant offers great views and the food is pretty good too. You can even take pictures with the 'dryland scallion' background. Yangji at the front desk was lovely and provided excellent service and a great experience throughout my stay.

The location is super convenient! It's less than a 5-minute walk from Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple, and Potala Palace Square is only about a 15-minute walk away. There are tons of restaurants nearby. They also have a terrace restaurant with a great view of Jokhang Temple. The room offers both diffused oxygen and nasal oxygen, which I personally found effective. Many foreign tour groups stay here too. The front desk staff are very friendly. I'd definitely recommend it!

The biggest plus of this hotel is its super convenient location. The breakfast was pretty good too, and the front desk staff were all very helpful and friendly. You can walk to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street, no need for a car. The rooftop restaurant offers a great view of Jokhang Temple, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient for dining and sightseeing.

They need a good cleaning, they building is like Tibet old style but overall, it needs to be improved about the cleanliness

I'm writing this review mainly to thank the hotel staff member who helped with our luggage, though I didn't get a chance to ask for his name. Especially yesterday morning when it was raining, he proactively helped my family carry our bags to the street corner and even hailed a taxi for us. Without him, we probably would have been late. A huge thank you again! 🙏

Outstanding location for solo travellers. Perfect for waiting to meet your Guide but wanting to wander around a little before. Room was well appointed and the fresh fruit was appreciated. Late checkout was much appreciated as well.

I booked the Thangka Hotel in Lhasa, Tibet, for someone else. Based on the description I saw when browsing the hotel, it should be quite good. I'll ask them about their specific check-in experience in a few days.

First time staying at this hotel and it was a fantastic experience! At an altitude of over 4600 meters, the room was equipped with oxygen, which was great. The housekeeping was incredibly thorough, even the corners were spotless. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the air conditioning and hot water were quick to respond. The service was attentive and meticulous; any requests were handled promptly. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and parking is convenient. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I've already saved it and recommended it to my friends!
