This is genuinely my favourite hotel in the area. It's newly built so it doesn't have heat insulation issues like the original buildings nearby, however it maintains the tasteful character traits of the village with modern amenities such as a bathtub, TV, ambient lighting and a wonderful kitchen that you can enjoy breakfast in (8-9:30AM). The staff is great and the rooms are smoke-free. This is one main reason we stayed here -- there is no scent of cigarettes, like other buildings. Further, you are very close to the main part of town. Just a short walk takes you to a lovely street where water flows between walkways; dogs greet you and ask to be pet!; storeowners welcome you into their stores. TLDR: Lovely place, quiet and I would return again.

It was a great stay here in Shanduo Liangyuan 🥰 Lovely host and aunty who cooked our breakfast each day! The room and overall vibes were amazing and I love Shuhe town! In our opinion the best town and it really gave 去有风的地方 vibes since it’s quieter and less touristy while still being convenient and having a lot of activities to do! Strongly recommend here!

Spacious and comfortable room, the owner was kind and very helpful for arranging transfer with a good driver. Breakfast is strictly Chinese without hot beverages.

Family room is spacious, clean and location is convenient to look for food and walking around. Staff is very friendly and helpful to give us good advice and find a good driver to bring us to next destination.

The hotel is located inside shuhe ancient city, just a few minutes walk away from restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, and the owner was so friendly. The owner will contact in advance to help to collect luggage so no worries if you have many luggage. 😁

We did a last minute trip here because this ancient town is much more low key and enjoyable for a getaway. The owner is very helpful, friendly, accommodating, and even helped us bring our luggage in and out of the ancient town so that we wouldn't have to walk with the suitcases on those stone roads. Highly recommend and would happily come back. Breakfast was also delicious and fresh and nutritious.

Here's a rewritten message: We visited the resort around late November 2024. Our son absolutely adores the resort's spacious bath tub, and we appreciate the warm hospitality extended by the owner. From helping us with our luggage at the Shuhe Old Town entrance to offering expert advice on planning our itinerary, the owner went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless. His insider tips on purchasing tickets to Dragon Jade Mountain were invaluable. A special mention must be made of the delicious hot ginger tea he brewed for us – it was, without a doubt, the best we had throughout our entire Yunnan trip! The owner's kindness didn't stop there; he even assisted us with a delayed Taobao package, demonstrating exceptional customer service. We recommend this resort, particularly to families with kids. The combination of comfortable accommodations, outstanding service, and warm hospitality makes it an ideal choice for a memorable vacation. The only drawback was there a unfinish construction just outside the resort which was stop since Covid -19. The owner shared that the boss ran into financial difficult and has to stop the project.

Very nice ambience with lots of space. Located right inside 束河古镇. Remember to contact hotel before heading over so that he will arrange a tricycle ride to bring your luggage to the hotel.

I recently stayed at the Shandou had a fantastic experience. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. This location is convenient, situated near local attractions, yet it maintains a peaceful atmosphere. The beautiful garden area was a lovely touch, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area.
