Lijiang Muyuntang View Hotel Reviews

Muyuntang is by far the best ‘minsu’ we’ve ever stayed at. The room is so spacious and clean, the bed is super comfy, the staff is friendly and helpful, we just feel so homey staying here. The location is great, 3mins walk to the Main Street of the South Gate. The homestay is at a relatively quiet area in the ancient city, but also close to the main area. On the last day, I forgot to bring the clothes that I hang at the common area, the staff even helped me to arrange delivery to my next hostel. So grateful for that! Not to mention ‘SI GUA’ the golden retriever of the owner, she is so adorable and well behaved 💜 We totally loved the stay here, and will definitely come back if we revisit Lijiang. The stay was excellent as the hosts are really friendly and helpful. It was located at the South Gate away from the bustling north area (around 20mins walking distance) but we love that area as it is much more peaceful and serene. Not forgetting to mention that the accommodation has really Instagramable areas for guests. Breakfast is simple and nice. Will definitely come back again!

Friendly people and comfortable stay. This is my second time staying in this B&B. I love this quiet lane of the ancient town. The surroundings are far away from the clamors of night life. It is not too far away from the entrance. Hence, if you don’t need to drag your heavy luggage while traveling with kids or your old folks. Definitely a plus point! The young receptionists and uncle and auntie are made us feel like coming home, serving tea, making small talks and etc. If you are looking for an authentic experience, look no further. The rice noodles is a must for breakfast!

Quite nice but a bit old and a lot of boxes and miscellaneous items placed in the public area which are unsightly. Disappointed as its reviews are good with a high rating. And I booked because of the rating ! There are many hotels in the area.

The owners are incredible. They helped me with so many recommendations. I also left something post check out and the owners reacted quickly and arranged for me to get back my item. Truly truly amazing hosts. Location is also very convenient and close to all the highly recommended restaurants and sights but without being too loud. View is also amazing from the top. They also have a really adorable golden retriever 🐶! Highly recommend this place.

We had an amazing stay here, the hotel did it's best to contact us prior to getting there so they could help us out with our bags. They also upgraded our room which made our stay way more better. The guy was also kind enough to give us locations of wherever we wanted to go. I'll recommend this hotel to anyone.

We loved our stay here and would definitely come back! Location: The hotel is right by one of the entrances to the old town, which is very convenient. Service: The couple who runs it is absolutely lovely. They are very welcoming, helpful, and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Room: Since it was slow season, the owners upgrade our room for free (very grateful)! We stayed in a duplex in the upper building. The bed is extremely comfortable, it's like sleeping on a cloud. There is a spectacular view over the city from the room and the terrace below. There is everything you need inside. The floor heating is lovely in the winter, but we also needed a radiator (which they provided). One thing to note is that it's a walk up a bunch of steps (then you are rewarded with the amazing view). They help with luggage. There are also rooms at lower levels if you prefer to avoid all the steps. :) Amenities: lots of little patios and gardens, very cute. Breakfast area is small but nice. Plenty of spaces to chill in. Breakfast: we just had the option or rice or wheat noodles, which we were very happy with. It was convenient to not need to search for breakfast every morning.

Communicating with the staff through Wechat was very easy. They were very friendly and ready to help. The view from the rooms at the top of the hotel was amazing.

This was a beautiful hotel. We stayed in the duplex which was perfect for two adults and two young children. Views and service were outstanding. Lijiang is a beautiful place. I highly recommend staying in this Inn.

I came to Lijiang again after a year, and I chose Muyuntang again this time. Every time I came and went, the housekeeper helped me carry my luggage. The inn was just a few dozen meters from the entrance of the ancient city, with convenient transportation. The room we stayed in was spacious, bright, comfortable and tidy. The lazy sunshine made us eat the delicious breakfast made by the inn aunt lazily. After breakfast, we climbed up to the backyard of Muyuntang to sunbathe. It was so comfortable!

At first, I booked a room in the backyard, but later I found that it takes a lot of strength to live in the backyard. I decisively changed to a room in the front yard. It is close to the front desk, and it is also convenient to find the boss if I need anything. As soon as we arrived in Lijiang, Si Gua came out to greet us. The room was bright and clean.

During the National Day holiday, a family of three brought my mother and mother-in-law to Lijiang for fun. We chose Muyuntang Inn after a long time of selection. It is in the ancient city and you can visit the ancient city when you go out. It is very good so far. The innkeeper's family is very enthusiastic. The proprietress has a positive outlook and is very nice. She has a dog named Sigua, which is very docile. Our children especially like to play with the dog. The uncle helped with the luggage. The rice noodles and fried eggs cooked by the aunt in the morning tasted very good. We originally booked two nights, but it kept raining in Lijiang, so we left Lijiang one day in advance. What surprised me most was that the proprietress refunded us one night's room fee. Next time I come to Lijiang, I will definitely stay in Muyuntang again. I wish you a prosperous business!
