The room was far smaller than expected with a very petite though functional bathroom (without any natural light). The two single beds were small and difficult to sleep in. The air conditioning was old and quite poor. It was difficult to bring the temperature down at night. There was one tiny wardrobe that could not hold much clothing at all.
There was no tea, coffee or other benefits of an alleged 5 star hotel. The following day, the cleaners (who were fantastic and very nice) brought us a few biscuits and a plate with a few fruit items on it. Two bottles of water were provided each day.
The breakfast had a good selection of possible dishes though the staff did not refill regularly so many items became unavailable during breakfast. The dishes were very Chinese orientated, which was not a problem given that we were the only foreigners in the hotel.
The reception staff were excellent, very helpful and supportive.

We were treated extremely well by the staff, who went out of their way to assist us with difficult situations. Breakfast is included and it is extensive enough to satisfy most people. All in all , highly recommend.

This hotel is located within walking distance to the old city of Lijiang. Since it is one of the tallest buildings in Lijiang, it allows a great view of the snow-capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The room itself is comfortable, but you can hear the people from the next room when they talk. The breakfast is good, but it is the same every day. The hotel boats a swimming pool and sauna, but when I asked about them, I was told they are closed.

Just outside of Old Town of Lijiang with 15 Minutes walking.
The whole hotel needs some renovation. The carpets are dirty, the doors are very used, including big gaps.
Swimmingpool and Sauna Area where both completely closed.
Breakfast was ok, but everything with plastic.
It was very cold in the Breakfast-Restaurant.
All the Staff is very friendly and helpful. Also one person was speaking English!

Nice Hotel... really good support! We had some Problems because of COVID. The stuff helped us in a really professional way! A recommendation for foreigners!

Easy to find as is the tallest building in the town. The hotel has two parts to it- the International main building and a smaller 'local' style Which is where is stayed. Really lovely setting Just wasn't too impressed by the room Which had obviously seen better days. Pool on roof with a great view was a nice touch and breakfast had me set off for my journey in a good mood. Would come again, Just Hope for a better room. PS: Collins at reception speaks English Really well and has been working at the hotel since it was built twenty years ago and is a great Welcome host

The hotel is lovely with wonderful attentive staffs . The forms given to the expats took a while to fill out but appreciate that it was all in English .
The breakfast is nice Chinese style type . The rooms are clean but our cleaner didn’t clean our tea and coffee mugs . It’s worth the money to stay here again

The hotel rooms are a bit dated but fit the need to stay a night in central Lijiang. I had to work in the business which was nice workingplace. Breakfast could be a bit better.

A wonderful breakfast buffet, great location and friendly staff. I like swimming, so I was happy with the great swimming pool. The hotel is moderatly priced but you get a lot for your money. Good foid, bath tub in the room, seimming pool and very convrnient lication with lots of sights walking distance away.

The hotel may be well built with lot of attractions when it was constructed. Travellers may not impressed with present advancements or new hotels. Recommended for those are just trying to find average good stay

Do not stay here unless you are desperate. We spent our first two nights in the old town but after our road trip from ShangriLa decided to go for a “hotel” experience and thought we’d check out the tallest building in the city. The check in was drawn out and long, with tons of forms to fill out. ( we didn’t have to do this a few days earlier). The room we had booked was in the courtyard. The room felt damp and dark, right outside the window as a wall of a hospital around 20 metres away, so. I air or light really got into the room. The carpet was awful and the whole feeling was just a little gross. We complained and had to pay to change our room to the “main building” at which point they tried to over charge us. Having then been given a room on the 17ty floor, we had to change rooms again. The noise from the street and surrounding KTV was unbearable even with the windows closed and at that height. Upon getting our third room, we collapsed on the bed exhausted. Gym closed, average breakfast, dinghy room. Not at all 5 stars even by local hotel standards. Get yourself a room in the old town and ignore this place. The best thing about it was the bell man came to move us between rooms each time, always with a smile and tried to be helpful, but shame he works for such a terrible hotel.

According to the policies of Lijiang Police Station, all foreigner guests and the domestic guests from the medium-risk and high-risk areas of Mainland China are required to fill out the two forms when they check in all types of hotels including guest houses and inns in Lijiang Old Town during this Covid-19 period. And we are also required to close the sauna center and gym in this special period. The room that you booked was in the 2-storey Naxi Building for Distinguished guests. Because you were not satisfied with the amenities and facilities there, you were suggested to make a new booking of a double room on the 17th floor of the main building through Ctrip. And you were informed that the room rates of the two rooms were different too. Later you decided to pay the price spread on the basis of Ctrip price list at the reception desk directly to get the double room. This time we went from Kunming to Lijiang, so the last night was reserved for Lijiang Guanfang Hotel. When taking a taxi, please note that there is also a Guanfang Garden Villa, so don't get the address wrong.

Facilities: As an old hotel, it is well maintained. I saw comments saying that there were few plugs before, but this time I saw that the hotel was full of desire to survive, and it really equipped a lot of plugs, just in case you don't have enough plugs. It can be seen that the hotel is trying hard to meet the requirements of customers. My daughter said that this hotel has a strong hotel style of the 80s and 90s. Yes, how glorious it was here!
We were watching the view on the top floor, and a male traveler took pictures while talking about his feelings when he came here. The past time is also our youth.
