The rooms are even more impressive: all bathroom fixtures are Kohler, the smart toilet seat is wonderfully warm, and even the sink has a splash-proof outlet. The mattress is a top-of-the-line Serta, with no noise when you turn over, ensuring you sleep soundly until your alarm. All the staff are young men and women, and their service attitude is fantastic. We stayed for three nights 😊 and they even gave us fresh fruit and picked us up from the entrance of Shuhe Ancient Town in a concierge car, making us feel right at home. On our third day, because our train was at 8 PM, the proprietress warmly invited us to have tea and chat in the tearoom after we checked out at noon, and then offered a rooftop BBQ in the evening. Out of our three days in Lijiang's Shuhe Ancient Town, the rooftop experience was the most amazing: in the evening, the owner set up a charcoal grill, cooking his marinated steak, skewers, and Yunnan 'baojiang' tofu, along with strawberries and bananas 🍌. Looking up, there was the sunset glow and snow-capped mountains; looking down, the lights of Shuhe. It felt like a moment to 'save' in life. After three nights, my conclusion is: YuYuan transforms the 'making do with ancient towns' into 'a sophisticated ancient city experience.' I'll definitely be 'revisiting' and staying here again next time. Highly recommended!
