Book this hotel because we had a train at 6am and it was next to the station.
We had an issue because we booked for 4 persons (2 adults and 2 kids). But at the hotel, they says we only booked for 2 adults and they asked us to pay additionnal fee for extra people.
The issue was between the booking platform and the hotel. I don't know how but somehow the commnication between them was incorrect. And it was to the customer to pay again because of the mistake between them.
And the hotel was telling us that we were cheating, trying to go with 4 people and paying for 2 which was wrong.

This is our second time staying at a Formula One Hotel. We found the Lille Métropole to be clean, the area surrounding the hotel felt safe even at night and access into the centre of Lille was simple as the metro was only a 5 mins walk away from the hotel, we also found the staff to be friendly, the breakfast box to be good value and enjoyable and the free secure gated parking was an added benefit. We will definitely look to stay at this particular hotel again.
To attend LOSC games or visit the Lille region, head to Hotel Première Classe Lille – Villeneuve d'Ascq – Stade Pierre Mauroy. Our affordable hotel with parking is a five-minute walk from the stadium and about six miles from Lille’s old town area. During your stay, enjoy a hearty breakfast in our hotel near Lille.

Before arriving I asked for a disability room, which I was informed they were all booked up, so asked for ground floor room Instead as my dad who I was travelling with struggles with steps. This was declined and we were given a room on the top floor (no lift at the hotel). Once up stairs we opened to door to what could only be described as the smell of stale cigarette smoke, that someone had lived there and smoked 50 a day in the room. The smell was horrific. With the Door and window left open, it helped but the smell was still there. The room is very basic, and the bathroom you can just about turn around in. The fan in the bathroom didn't work leaving it very stuffy, and thats before you turned the water on. There was no bath mat provided, resulting in the bathroom floor becoming very slippery ( not great for my dad who is already unsteady on his feet). The matteress on the double bed had multiple stains (from what I wouldn't want to guess). The light above the bunk bed didn't work. Upon waking up in our cigerette smelly room, went down to breakfast, which was extremely basic! There was only bread products available, 4 waiting for a 2slice toaster, which even after 4 minutes came out not toasted. There was no plates for any of the products meaning, if you wanted toast, you had to butter it on the tray or in a cereal bowl. Only reason we stayed here for the whole two nights booked was everywhere was booked up and staying for the rugby world cup, otherwise would have booked and gone else where.

The hotel offers free on site parking in their underground car park which was a huge bonus as we’d travelled with car via the euro tunnel. Lille is easily accesssible from the bus stop opposite for €2 each way, just catch the L5. The rooms are a good size, clean and quiet. Furnishings look quite new and rooms provide tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast is all very tasty; a small hot selection of scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. The continental choices of breads and pastries were very fresh. The staff are all very pleasant and friendly, offering some assistance to us when needing advice on how to travel to Stade Pierre Maroy at night.

Stayed here for a one night stop over on the way to Italy. The room was fine, all be it basic. The bathroom was lovely, newly refurbished but the separate toilet didn’t seem to have been. Plenty of parking. The pool was quite small, much smaller than we thought it looked from the pictures. There was lots of outdoor space for children to run off some energy although maybe a small park would make a difference here. The room had a strange damp smell and there was multiple flies we had to chase out when we arrived. Also asked for some additional pillows and were told the limit was 4 per room so we didn’t have the most comfortable sleep. All in all, good for a one night stop over.

Very good one night stay. Comfy bed. Good shower. Clean room. Online check in meant I could park the car after a long journey and walk straight into my room. The only downside was the air conditioning only pumped out hot air and the WiFi connected but the page to log in would not load, so no WiFi for my stay.

We stopped for 1 night after watching Olympic basketball in Lille before heading to Paris. Great location off the road down to Paris but no noise from the road. Lovely hotel with outdoor pool, beautiful grounds, boules, ping pong, mini football pitch and kids area inside with a little library and table football. Restaurant looked and smelt great. Short 4 minute walk to a huge shopping centre with slides for kids. A big Auchun supermarket and climbing activities (extra charge). Other restaurants nearby and a petrol station. Would happily have stayed longer and return again. 2x electric charging points for cars, free cold water station which was very welcome, comfortable and quiet bed and room and WiFi throughout.

We stay here on regular basis since hotel opening and it was always in a suite, This time it was not available to book so we went for „business suite” thinking that apart from big conference table, everything will be the same. It has really akward layout - toilet is by the front door, then there is long walk to the bedroom where there is a bathroom - it is narrow and only with a shower, not bathtub - sorry I expect both in the suite, just like it is in the one we were staying before. There is a table with 8 chairs, seemingly for the business meetings but there are no sockets nearby at all, except by the kitchenette. Additionally wifi is very poor, My husband went on the important work call and has been disconnected. Phone signal is inconsistent - from E, to 3G to 4G at times. If hotel calls it business suite - it is misleading as it does not have basic business facilities. I would pass the comments by the checkout but receptionist did not ask me how my stay was. She just took the payment without saying much. Since we had this big table we thought we may just as well use it and order room service. You can only do it from 6 pm and 25 euros per burger is pricey but we went for it as there is nothing nearby. We end up bringing it to the suite ourselves. Food was of good quality. We also got 2 drinks for platinum member voucher. Mixed feelings this time.

I booked the IBIS in Bethune as I wanted a base to aim for driving from Calais before travelling down through France and what a pleasant surprise the IBIS turned out to be. I had a warm welcome on arrival and the hotel was clean and modern. The room was also modern and clean with a grey toned patterned carpet, a double bed and the usual table, chair, wardrobe, shower room which the IBIS have. It was the usual budget room but was clean and comfortable. There was a tasty breakfast which had a good choice of breakfast food and pastries. Great hotel and would be happy to stay there again.

Excellent
MMarjorie CThe hotel foyer was very pleasant with comfortable chairs and a bar. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable but we did not like the condensed milk provided so could not have a cup of tea. The breakfast was the usual buffet with some hot food. There was too much white bread and one day no wholemeal at all. Also the yogurts all had sugar in them. We would book again
GGuest UserThis was only a one night stay as we were heading back via the Eurostar. As it happens, we couldn’t have picked a better place as we had a great time there and felt we are well prepared for our onward journey. It is a 10 minute easy walk from the train station and our welcome at Reception was warm and friendly. In fact, the gentleman from Seville was a star throughout our whole stay and helped us a lot. The room was far more comfortable than we expected and had everything you need for a great night. The air conditioning was excellent which was important in the heat and we had a terrific night sleep. There are a few rooms with balconies but we didn’t manage to get one. As it was only for one night that didn’t matter but it may be worthwhile requesting if you get chance. The Wi-Fi was free for unlimited devices and really high quality. We would, without doubt, stay in this hotel again should we be back in town.
GGuest UserLocation is good, near the Lille Flandres station. Also near a collapsed building, which is a little scary, but was not a problem during our stay. Hotel is beautiful & clean, although each room has a different layout, so quality may vary a bit. Concierge is very nice, but is not always guarding the front desk. Biggest problem is the hotel is infested with mosquitoes & has no air conditioning. My room also didn't have any outlets near the bed, making it difficult to plug in my phone or fans.
GGuest UserWe stayed here in order to go to a game at the Rugby World Cup, while this was on they tripled the charge for an overnight stay but this is true of hotels in all cities hosting an event so it was expected. The hotel is in a good location just a short walk from the old town and many bars & restaurants. There's also a supermarket around the corner for beer/wine (there's a fridge in the room) or snacks. It's also not too far from the Eurostar station which you can walk to or take the metro. The format of the bedrooms seemed to vary depending on the location, ours was on the 4th floor and had a separate shower in addition to the bath but it had no room to store flat clothes, there was only hanging space. Rooms on the 2nd floor only had a bath with a shower outlet but plenty storage room for clothes. Regardless our room was clean, quiet, well decorated and had a comfortable bed - nothing at all to complain about. It also had a safe, a large flat screen TV and good wi-fi reception. The staff on reception and in the bar were friendly and helpful. The bar was very busy while we were there but they managed to cope very well with the number of orders for both drinks and food. Drinks were on the expensive side but this is true of most hotels. Breakfast was a bit disappointing in terms of variety and quality (especially the hot items) but the bread was fresh and there was some fruit on offer. There is a courtyard area where you can sit outside in addition to the bar/breakfast areas and we found this a convenient place to sit on the last day while we were waiting for transport to go home. As it is close to Flanders we took the opportunity to book a private WW1 battlefield tour which we enjoyed. If we decide to return to do a similar tour we will certainly stay at this hotel.
KKate ThomWe were assigned an accessible junior suite though we didn't request an accessible room.. The bathroom was half finished and the wiring was not completed with the switches for the separate toilet and bath located in the doorway. There were signs pasted on the door to the toilet and the door to the shower stating that the hotel offered its apologies for the inconvenience! There was a workman's support pole found under the sinks which had to be removed by the technician when we complained. There was not a single hook, clothes stand, towel rack or rail anywhere in the bathroom, toilet or room. The hotel staff explained that they would send a technician a second time to drill hooks in the bathroom, we didn't bother since we were staying only 2 nights and didn't want the dust. The shower glass in the shower stall could not contain water within the stall and the floor became wet after we showered.
Location wise the hotel is perfect and the staff were polite. Breakfast was a mix of hot cooked food and the usual cold cuts, cheeses, breads, yoghurt, fruits and juices. The breakfast room changes to a bar at night which serves affordable and nice cocktails.
GGuest UserOnce we located it (I would recommend NOT USING GOOGLE MAPS) it is very well located using Opera House and Apple Store as landmarks and it is close to Lille Europe. Whilst the rooms are small and the lift even smaller it is not any different in size to any other city centre hotel I have stayed in. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is perfectly adequate with freshly squeezed orange juice (you do have to request this it is not left out in the buffet area). Certainly had no complaints and would stay here again. My only small complaint is an a typical English tea drinker that the basic Thè was not available but this is a small ****** on what is otherwise a good value for money stay.
Fantastic hotel with brilliant breakfast fast check in great decor fantastic view from room large bathroom good shower great hairdryer large fridge safe loads of charging points comfy bed could find no faults whatsoever bar area was warm and welcoming very close to bars and restaurants and grand place
WWanderingAn excellent address for people who want to visit Lille. It is located less than a mile a way from the station. And it’s easy to get to sights.
The hostel is very clean and the service is great. A good place ran by friendly people. The breakfast is amazing by hostel standards as you get bread, cheese, ham, olives, yoghurt, cereals, hot drink and orange juice.
There are also some community activities/workshops going on, but haven’t experienced these.
DDongjuanIn the school area, it is relatively safe. However, the location is relatively biased and it is convenient to take a taxi. The hotel's internal facilities are very good, clean and warm, breakfast is also very good, is the general foreigner to eat. The hotel reception is super nice, five stars!
Rooms hot and poorly ventilated. We We’re pleased it wasn’t summer! The bed was comfortable and linen clean and fresh. Bathroom was ok, but so small I could barely fit into it. Little room between sink and door. One smallish towel was provided per person and one of our towels had a hole in it. The toilet seat was awful. Neither the lid or the seat would stay up. Really awkward for males. Not even plastic glasses were provided in the room, so you couldn’t have a drink of water. Bar was ok but very expensive. Restaurant is a shipping container in the back yard. No doubt very cool and all that but its facilities were meagre. We ordered 2 pizzas and were warned it could be a 50 minute wait. We decided that was just about acceptable. However it took 1.5 hours to deliver our order! It might be funky and all that but it was very, very slow. In fact really poor. Staff friendly, with good English spoken throughout. Parking plentiful and it felt secure. The hotel is too far from the city centre to be convenient. We walked in twice and whilst quite a pleasant walk it is about 40 minutes. There were no shops or restaurants within easy walking distance. It wasn’t exactly cheap but OK. Overall average.
