Hotel Villa Dirce

Good points: amazing view of lake and Not many plugs in the room - we found it difficult to charge up devices. from room, lovely walk (about 20 mins) into Limone. Breakfast was good - lots of choice. Negatives: Very little room to put our clothes - only 6 hangers provided in wardrobe. Not many plugs in the room - we found it difficult to charge up devices. Air con was controlled by reception. We couldn’t change temperature of AC ourselves - when we got cold at night we could only turn it off by opening the window. The safe in the room was really small and wasnt big enough to fit our laptop in. The hotel ran a shuttle bus to take you into town which was great but there were no drop offs after 6.30pm which seems very early. It also meant that there was a long queue for the 6.30pm taxi and sometimes had to wait for the taxi driver to do two drop offs before we could get our lift. It would have been great if we could have booked a time slot.

Can highly recommend Hotel Villa Dirce, friendly staff, shuttle service into town fantastic, driver was brilliant and helpful, breakfast had a good selection with great service. Limone a 20 min walk with a secret pathway leading down to the shore, abundance of restaurants and boat trips,

Me and my wife have just returned to the UK after spending a week in Limone. This hotel was absolutely perfect, the room was spotless (as was the rest of the hotel), the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We travelled to several different areas over the course of the week, but we didn't find any view that was any better than the view from the hotel, it really is breathtaking. We will be back... possibly a return trip for an anniversary.

The location was perfect for us - walkable (steep) walk into town and hotel shuttle available if wanted. Comfortable hotel with excellent breakfast. Views amazing. Limited parking & very tight spaces.

The hotel is fantastic. It’s spotlessly clean especially the pool I’ve never seen such a clean pool area. There was plenty sun loungers for everyone and the views are incredible. Every room looks over the lake . The staff are great , nothing was too much for them we even got a welcome drink and snack which was very much appreciated. Our room was also ready early as they knew we had an early flight . We said in room 208 it was perfect. We will definitely be back

I write this on my journey home, having spent the last week staying in this wonderful hotel in Limone. The hotel is recently renovated inside but maintains its traditional charm, with the building being set back into the hillside. Due to the location, all the rooms and communal areas (bar, pool, terrace…) have an amazing view over the lake, where you can enjoy a good selection of drinks and snacks. The included breakfast is buffet style with an excellent selection and a freshly made cappuccino on offer. Lastly, I would like to mention all the staff; everyone was friendly, attentive and professional. I would like to make a special mention of the guys in the bar - Vito, Anna and Giacomo who were all excellent! I will certainly be returning! Grazie di tutto e ci vediamo l'anno prossimo!
