Lo Nardo Accommodation ★★★
"From the very start of planning my trip to departure, I had no issues what so ever in communicating with the owners. They answered all my questions no matter what day or time it was! I live in the US, so you need to realize the time difference. They were always there to respond and put my mind at ease. I just recently stayed at this accommodation for 6 nights. The place is unbelievable!!! It is cheerful & pretty, very clean, has everything you need or want, the owners are very kind and they ask you to call them if you need anything at any time, you can use the rooftop terrace area and there is also a washing machine there to use if you need it, beautiful views, it is close to pretty much everything of walking distance, and I felt safe. I have no complaints and would rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+. I was even met at the port on arrival and it was a Sunday afternoon, WOW!!!! Impressive! I look forward to returning💙 Thank you for a great stay!"
Hotel Mea - Aeolian Charme ★★★★
"Beautiful hotel with amazing views of Lipari port & ocean surrounding. Super clean room, comprehensive breakfast with lovely service (big thank you to the head waiter who taught me about espresso sizes and how to order a long black coffee😁), in general excellent service all around (nothing too much for the reception folk), pool is clean & beautifully situated with ocean views, and massage service is a good price & the most relaxing massage I’ve had! The only drawback is the transport to & from the port which is only 200m (uphill for arrival) - hotel charges €15-20 for 1 person and taxi charges £20 for 2 people. You can easily walk down to the port with your bags but it would be nice if the hotel offered complementary pickup given it’s a quality hotel."
Hotel Cutimare - Aeolian Charme ★★★★
"This was my first trip to the Aeolian Islands. A bit of a hike from Catania airport but well worth the effort (bus to Milazzo - 1 hour - and then hydrofoil ferry to Lipari). The hotel is charming and clean, and the staff are extremly attentive to guests' needs (My A/C unit didn't work, so I got an upgrade to a junior suite with terrace) and friendly without being invasive. The sea views and dawn sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking from the roof terrace where you can also enjoy a pre-dinner/pre-lunch drink. Excellent breakfast buffet and I'd recommend halfboard as the restaurant on the top of the hill (you get picked-up and dropped back at the hotel) has excellent fish fare even on the set menu, as well as a fine wine selection, available by the generous glass. The beach is right in front of the hotel and has sun loungers available. The beach is also volcanic stone which is where the hotel takes its name: "cutimare" means "ciottole" in Italian or stones. Buy a pair of rubber shoes in Lipari to save your feet from experiencing excruicating pain getting in and out of the water, although the locals walk across the stones effortlessly. This was not my case! However, the stone beach has an upside - not an ideal place for young children and families, so the beach is almost "adult" only and quiet. On my final Sunday in June, I had the beach to myself. The sea is crystalline. I used taxis but if you have a car, there are some lovely places to visit around the island or you can do a boat excursion from Lipari to explore the other islands. I added a week here after holidaying in Trentino, Barcelona, Spain and Minorca and, of all the places, I loved Lipari and Cultimare the best. In fact, I'll be returning to Sicily at the end of August. And I'd like to go back next year ... Happy holidays, folks!"
Hotel Aura ★★★
"Nice structure in the center of Vulcano, not far from the port and the beaches. Kind and helpful staff. Clean rooms equipped with smart TV, air conditioning, hairdryer, fridge. There is also a really nice swimming pool with hydromassage. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast, the essentials are there, maybe it could be larger and more varied. Good quality/price ratio, recommended."
Hotel Villa Augustus ★★★
"I am not one to write outrageous reviews but I have to be honest. The staff was lacking hospitality in my opinion. In particular one member of staff who worked late at night, and would scream at my kids to be quiet as we entered. This same staff member then followed them to their room and confronted them, yelling at them, making more noise then they were originally. We stayed two nights, and both nights my kids were yelled at to be quiet before they even made a peep. This led to us nick naming this hotel “the silent hotel”. The rooms were fine, nothing extraordinary, they served their purpose. However, I would say the showers are a bit small. Breakfast was good. What would truly enhance the experience at the hotel is a more welcoming atmosphere and friendlier staff. A few smiles and hospitable attitude could go a long way in making guests feel more at home and appreciated. I would not recommend this hotel for big families or families with young children who may make some noise."
Hotel Villa Enrica - Aeolian Charme ★★★★
"We stayed at the Hotel Villa Enrica and had a lovely time. Fantastic views, nice pool area and friendly staff. It's about a 15 minute walk to the town so was easy to get there."
Eolia Rooms Lipari ★★
Hotel Aktea ★★★★
"We stayed five nights at the Hotel Aktea when visiting Lipari and the other Aeolian islands. The service was excellent- They could not have been more gracious and accommodating. They helped us find and book several tours, helped with restaurant recommendations reservations and directions, and were generally friendly and pleasant. The rooms were simple but spacious and comfortable and ours looked onto the wildly gorgeous huge pool. Breakfast had a wide variety of sweets, as well as cereals yogurts, breads meats and cheeses. Would 100% return."
Hotel Eros ★★★★
"The service and food was excellent. Our waiter Anil Kumar was very kind and helpful. I loved everything we ordered especially the mushroom bao and crispy mushrooms.. We highly recommend this place! :)"

Therasia Resort Sea and Spa - the Leading Hotels of the World
"This is a wonderful hotel in a fabulous location with the bonus of having not one but two Michelin starred restaurants on the premises, one of which (the extraordinarily imaginative vegetarian “I Tenerumi”) we tried and enjoyed enormously, despite it being very pricey. The view from all the hotel restaurants and the bar is absolutely amazing particularly at sunset and the predominantly youthful staff go out of their way to ensure that your stay here is unforgettable. The one suggestion I would make is that it could be made easier - and safer - to swim in the sea. There was not a bathing platform in position during our stay so the only access was by climbing down a rather precarious ladder straight into the sea. But anyway, we absolutely loved our 5-day stay."
Hotel Rocce Azzurre
"OMG — this place is absolutely heavenly! Well, technically, it's a little slice of heaven just off the mainland... Our room was breathtaking, with not one but two balconies overlooking the crashing waves. We booked half board (something I’m usually not too keen on), but I was genuinely amazed by the menu — I couldn't wait to go back the next evening! Lipari takes you back in time. Quaint, peaceful, and utterly wonderful. It forces you — in the best possible way — to slow down, unwind, and just let the world drift by. I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Hotel Rocce Azzurre — at least once in your life. Trust me, you won't forget"
Hotel Lisca Bianca
"This was my first visit to Panerea. It had been talked up so much I was hoping for an experience that would blow me away. First I want to say the view from our terrace and the proximity to the dock was fantastic. Unfortunately that did not make up for the areas where it was lacking. The bed, sheets and pillows were the worst I have ever slept on. The mattress was like a rock as were the pillows and the sheets were scratchy and uncomfortable. I believe if the owner or anyone in management slept on these one night they would replace them in every room as the consensus amongst guests was they were extremely uncomfortable. Bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the patio needed a good cleaning. The pool had trash thrown in it. Breakfast was just OK. You had to ask at least three times to get coffee and then it was just warm. There were stairs with no lighting forcing us to use our phone flashlights. I will say the staff at the front desk was very pleasant. However a good nights sleeps makes or breaks a place with me. I will not be returning"
Hotel Bougainville
"The structure is new and very clean. Not far from the center, reachable on foot from an internal street. The staff was kind and always available, the services adequate for 4 stars. In general, in the common areas there was never confusion, you can relax in the pool or on the terrace. Breakfast was also good."
Hotel Villaggio Stromboli - Isola di Stromboli
"Lovely hotel right by the sea on Stromboli. A transfer from the ferry terminal can be pre-arranged with the hotel (€7 one way) which is handy if arriving during a thunderstorm. As the roads on Stromboli are so narrow, all transport is by scooter, golf cart or piaggio. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The staff were very helpful. Good quality buffet breakfast. If you are catching the 7:15 ferry (so leaving before breakfast) they can provide a small “to-go” bag on request."
Les Sables Noirs & Spa
"Hotel in an excellent location, equipped with all comforts, and immaculately maintained rooms and common areas. The staff is courteous and attentive. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast. I would recommend it and will gladly return!"
Hotel Al Togo Fitness & Relax
Villa Saracina
"The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable and comfortable. It also offers a buffet breakfast, rich and varied. A very recommendable experience!"
Gattopardo Park Hotel
"Careful and available staff. Clean and well maintained structure. Special attention to gluten-free breakfast"
Kyma Suites
"We couldn't find anything better in Panarea: a comfortable b&b, completely renovated with so good taste, inexpectable cleaning, excellent breakfast. Thanks and sympathy by Salvador and Antonio. And then I have my turtle that reminds me of Panarea."
Residence Hotel Baia Portinenti
"This is one of the best places I have stayed! It is located 59 metres from the sea and only 500 metres from the Port. The decor of the entire place is like being at home! It’s comfortable, clean and has everything you would ever need. It has a lift which only takes 1 person but it meant I didn’t have to climb stairs. The staff ate like family prepared to do anything to make your stay perfect. The room was clean, the beds had lovely clean sheets and the room had a balcony. The breakfast was great offering all that you would want. At the end of my stay they even drove me to the port to catch the ferry! I highly recommend this hotel."
Hotel Tritone Lipari
"A good hotel. The rooms are nice and very clean, the sea view is great, Good quality breakfast food and extremely bad coffee. Service friendly and efficient. Only minus: Very long and steep walk to town, plus a high staircase without handrail leading up to hotel. I would not return as for me that was a problem that disturbed my stay."
Hotel Ossidiana Stromboli Center
"The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from the pier. The air conditioning works well, but the rooms are rather small, making it suitable for people who want to climb the volcano, stay overnight, and catch the boat the next morning. However, staying in a room with a view of the volcano from the window is a great advantage."

Il Gabbiano Relais in Stromboli
"The apartment was clean and simple with all the basic facilities. The staff were lovely and very helpful and patient with our limited Italian. The pool was beautiful. The location was great...not too far to walk anywhere but still quiet. The reason why 4 out of 5 was the beds were very hard and our bed was two beds put together that were slightly different heights. The showers were very small and there wasn't always somewhere to lie by the pool should you want to."
