Raw Culture Art & Lofts Bairro Alto

Baixa Lisbon|0.31km from Rossio Railway Station
It started out rocky as the pickup we booked via hotel was 30 min late to get us at the airport. However the rest of our stay was still so good that I am willing to give it five stars. Room - huge lofts with kitchen and king bed and 3 half baths. No tub but shower was nice and strong. Concrete floor was great as we visited Lisbon in 100 degree weather. The robe and slipper provided were high quality as was the large bath towels. It was a nice touch to get a free liter of water and a small wine as a welcome Breakfast - included with our stay is awesome. Freshly made to order as this place only has 12 lofts. We got scrabbled eggs every day that came with these tomatoes and sliced ham that was simply delicious. Location - is in the midst of bars and restaurants. Many good places nearby. Thankfully with double pane windows, it was pretty quiet for us to sleep even though many party late in the night outside. Only inconvenience is Uber or bolt cannot pick up at door as its in an alleyway. Need to walk 100ft to Main Street to get a Uber or bolt. Bed - roomy and comfortable. They do put two twin together with a big cushion on top but it was very nice bed. Staff - super friendly and helpful. Maria checked us in and was very nice and Philip gave us free welcome drinks and showed us to a restaurant right outside he liked. We liked it too and had a nice dinner for only 30 euros of sardines and grilled sea bream. Yum. I would definitely book again.

Rossio Hostel

Baixa Lisbon|0.1km from Rossio Railway Station
This is our second time at Rossio Hostel - we thought it the best hostel we'd ever stayed at in 2019, and now it is even better. Not enough words to tell you everything great about it - though if we boil it down to two words it would be THE PEOPLE who work there are what makes it amazing. Sunday Fado night is not to be missed - when we were there Rossio brought in Jessica Fernandez, who is an amazing singer and she was backed by two highly skilled guitar players - one on classical guitar and one on the Portuguese guitar. Pizza night on Wednesday also included a cover band that was a lot of fun. Aside from all this Rossio Hostel is in a fantastic old building from the late 1700s/early 1800s (post-earthquake) - lots of character. Rossio sits right on Rossio Square - a very central part of Lisbon with the metro and trains right outside your doot. Now, as to what makes Rossio Hostel really stand out - well, that is the people. A big thank you, and kudos, to the staff at Rossio: Madalena, Leavis (hope I'm spelling your nake right my friend), Rita, Paula, Mackayla (also hoping I get your name right), Victoria and especially Elsa who cooked up amazing scrambled eggs and crepes Monday to Friday. I didn't catch the name of the weekend cook - also a big thank you to you and the young lady helping you on the weekend. There are other staff that I didn't have a chance to get their names. The staff at Rossio Hostel make you feel like you are at home - my partner and I also felt like we were part of their family for the six days we were there. The big downside to Rossio Hostel is when you have to leave - the staff make it really hard to leave, because they make you feel so welcome and at home. We've been there twice and we will absolutely be back. If there were a way to give a rating higher than 10 we would certainly do it. Thanks again to everyone at Rossio Hostel for making our trip so special and memorable. We stayed here for 4 nights , the location is fantastic right in the center near to every thing. The roof top pool is beautiful and a lovely place to sit. The apartment we had was small and basic not very well decorated old furniture but it was spotlessly clean. It was very quiet and all round lovely place to stay, The reception staff are lovely and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The stay at goodmorning hostel was simply awesome. Why? Good people, clean and safe spaces, friendly environment, good location, good food (I was all-inclusive so I tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each one was amazing in its own way! Plus they have veggie options), good connection with local entities for outdoor activities like guided tours, day trips, social activities in the evenings. It was my first experience as a solo Traveller and I couldn’t be happier! I felt part of a community

The hotel is located in the heart of the town. The reception of the hotel works 24 hours. There is a metro station a few minutes away from the hotel. The rooms were spacious. They were cleaned every day. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are supermarkets, cafes and restaurants nearby. We booked two rooms. There was an airconditioner in one of them and in the other one there were two fans. There is no lift.

Breakfast is still decent, coffee is not good, it is good to ask the waiter for the machine inside the counter. The waiters are very friendly and welcoming. This is very different from other European countries. The location of the hotel is very good. The subway, bus and train are convenient. The sights and various markets or commercial pedestrian streets are nearby. The facade of the hotel is not a golden place. The circle of navigation is half a day, it’s just in front of you, blaming yourself.

The perfect hotel for travel. Arrived at the hotel at 8 am and was surprised to be informed that the room was ready to check in and give away breakfast for the day. Opening the door, it was upgraded into a suite. Super king bed + sofa bed in the living room, just right for our family of three. Thoughtful is still behind, giving gifts, tarts, chocolates, souvenirs every day. It was also reminded that it would rain, and a rain hat was sent to block the rain. It's really intimate. Breakfast is also the best I have eaten in several hotels of the same price. If you come to Lisbon please definitely choose it

The room is slightly small but the layout is exquisite. The service is very good. The breakfast is rich. Especially the location is very close to the attractions.
