Check in and the room element of our stay was good. The room was fresh and very clean. Everything you need including iron and board, coffee machine and bottled water. You know what you get with premier inn and this hotel felt like had recently had rooms refreshed. As it was Easter Sunday and we arrived late, we decided to eat at the in house restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast. What a huge mistake. At dinner time our food was of a very poor quality, families sitting around had to wait for long periods of time for the meals, leaving their children to get impatient as they were hungry. We tip our hats to the parents and their level of patience trying to appease the kids. Then on at least two tables the parents had to ask for their meals to be heated up as they were cold. Our food came and starters were over cooked and the main courses were only just warm enough. Standard of food was very poor. Breakfast in the morning was a disaster, we have to give great credit to the ladies working, they were running around and helping guests where they could. They deserved a real credit. Again we were extremely disgusted with the quality of the cooked breakfast, it was overly greasy and fried eggs were rubber to be polite. Our conclusion and recommendation, is stay in the hotel it was ideal for the price but absolutely avoid their restaurant for any meals, I have no idea who they employed to do the cooking.
