I have stayed at the Wylies on three occasions and if I could rate it higher than a five I would. The rooms are exceptional with individual balconies where you get to view Belfast through to the mourne mountains. And don’t get me started on the spa facilities, including a hydropool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna which made our stay even better. The hosts, Neill and Rush, could not be more accommodating going over and beyond to make our stay memorable on each and every occasion. I would definately recommend staying at Wylie’s. I found this property three months ago and we intend to come back every month for that bit piece of luxury and tranquillity.

Avoid at all costs!!!! We had an extremely unpleasant experience at this property and ended up leaving without staying the night. The owner was shockingly rude and aggressive towards our group of women, including one who was heavily pregnant. While we may have broken a rule by having alcohol in the spa, there was absolutely no justification for his hostility and unacceptable behavior. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism, he chose to be confrontational and intimidating. To make matters worse, after we left, we were contacted and falsely accused of taking a key, despite leaving the place exactly as we found it. As someone who works in the travel business and helps people find great places to stay, I’ve seen a lot—but this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve encountered. No guest should ever be treated this way. I strongly advise others to stay elsewhere.

I strongly advise against staying at this property under any circumstances. The experience we had during our visit was extremely distressing, and there are several critical points that must be highlighted. First and foremost, we were alarmed to discover that we were being recorded at all times via CCTV, including in the Spa area. This blatant invasion of privacy is completely unacceptable, and we were uncomfortable with the fact that there may have also been audio recording, which further breaches privacy norms. Furthermore, the behaviour exhibited by the owner was appalling. We are a group of five women in our 40s, one of whom is heavily pregnant, and we arrived at the property hoping for a relaxing break. Instead, we were subjected to verbal abuse and intimidation by the owner, who was hostile and unprofessional. We have never experienced such aggression in any situation, and the encounter left us feeling unsafe and shaken. We did acknowledge and accept responsibility for breaking a minor rule by bringing wine into the Spa in plastic bottles. However, the disproportionate response to this mistake was utterly unwarranted. The owner’s aggressive outburst, including yelling at us in the Spa, was completely out of line, and we promptly decided to leave for our own safety. To make matters worse, upon leaving, we received threatening and abusive messages from the owner, accusing us of theft, specifically claiming that we had taken a room key. This accusation was not only baseless but also absurd—five women in their 40s have no reason to steal a door key. Additionally, the owner attempted to charge an extra £50 without our consent or prior notice. Thankfully, this unauthorized charge was declined, but it only added to the distressing nature of our experience. In light of these events, we had no choice but to report the incident to the police for our own safety. This is a stay that we will never forget, but for all the wrong reasons. There was no professionalism, no courtesy, and no respect for basic human decency in how we were treated. I sincerely hope no other guest—especially women—has to endure such an unsettling experience. Please, for your own peace of mind, avoid this property at all costs.

What a place! Wish we had not booked a single overnight stay. Owned and managed by a delightful couple they have created a place that cleverly combines modern and very comfortable accommodation with homeliness. A difficult aim to achieve. The bedroom was so well equipped with a balcony from the rural spot looking over towards Belfast in one side and nearby Lisburn on the other. Breakfast was delicious and so relaxing. Our aim was to leave immediately after breakfast. We changed our plans and used the spa which is incredibly well equipped for a small hotel. This time we were on route to Donegal. We plan to return to visit Belfast. We will stay here.

Above & Beyond Is only a few words to Describe Our stay at The Wylies. We were a group of 12 Girls Which Rented this Gorgeous House For My friend’s Hen Party. We couldn’t Fault Anything. The House itself, the Photos definitely Do not do this place justice! Gorgeous Panoramic Views, The Interior To 5* plus Standards. The Whole vibe of the Villa Gave us was an amazing feel & We definitely didn’t want to leave. The Spa & Hydro Pool was 10/10. The amenities were Great Everything you could need & more. They is no architectural Building Like this within Belfast & to be Only 15 minutes or so out of belfast it was perfect. As much as we Loved the House! We must Say Our trip was Made by How welcoming Neil & Rush (The owners) Made us Feel. They went above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble for them, They were amazing Hosts & They are a credit to this House…. So Thank you for Having us, Well Definitely Be Back!
