Travelodge Liverpool Central the Strand

Good stay handy location for the events arena & Liverpool 1 . Reasonable buffet breakfast. Only thing which slight let it down was the shower curtain had quiet visible marks all down it like recent paint which came off in the water!

When we arrived at the hotel they didn’t have a specific room ready for us. We arrived late, at around 23:30 or so but I had called the hotel that morning to let them know. They gave us a room, and when we went up to it there was people in it. Firstly, this shows a terrible level of organisation and also a lack of care towards people’s safety staying in your hotel. If someone walked into my room like that at midnight I’d be terrified. When we returned to the front desk to get this sorted your staff didn’t even apologise until prompted. We had to wait about 15 minutes, after which we were given a room that we were only allowed stay in for one night and were told we had to move rooms the next day. The room we were put in wasn’t even clean, there was hair in the shower stuck to the wall and the shower curtain was mouldy. The second room we were put in smelled terrible. I booked this trip two months in advance, a room should be assigned and none of these issues should have occurred. I will never be staying in any travelodge again.

Dirty rooms, outdated interiors, no cleaning during the visit. Stayed there for 4 nights. Not recommended. The one star is contributed to a good location. The shower had no pressure. I also had to change the keys multiple times because they kept not working.

Good location for access to Liverpool waterfront and LiverpoolOne. The actual Albert Dock Travelodge is another mile away - this one is literally across the street from Albert Dock basin. It a decent hotel - stayed here quite a bit until a few years ago. It’s now a little dated though. It’s away from most of the nightlife so not plagued by outside noise. Tescos Express next door. Hotel has a basic bar and restaurant. Rooms at the front have views of the dock. Rooms at the rear enjoy a view of the neighbouring high rise and it’s bin compound ! If booked early - we stayed for football and during Aintree week for less than £60. It often hets 3-4 times that to stay centrally in town when Liverpool play at home.
