We had 2/2 sleeplessnights, the bed had springs stuck in our backs in the first room, we then asked to change rooms, we were given a different room which the bed was slightly better. The second night we realised we had left something in the first room, it was an important part of my husbands cpap machine as he has sleep apnea. I went to ask at reception and they told me that housekeeping would of put it in lost property, I asked if I could look in lost property but the answer was “no” you will have to come back at 9 am the next morning. I tried to explain the importance as my husband can’t sleep without it as he stops breathing… the answer was still “no” so we had another sleepless night. I understand it was our fault for leaving this part in the first room but surely this wasn’t the first time this kind of thing had happened??? I felt it was a very unreasonable situation…. Surely someone other than the housekeeping staff would have had a key to lost property. We will not be staying at The Adelphi Hotel again.
