Formby Hall Golf Spa Resort

Excellent hotel. Rooms are very comfortable. Friendly people. The slight downfall was that the breakfast was cold.Only one choice of egg, scrambled. Staff work very hard.

The spa was nice, but the bed had bed bugs, and I got bitten. The shower didn’t have a handheld option, and the water pressure was poor. I checked in at 11 AM, which was fine, but when we returned at 9 PM, I mentioned to the reception that we needed the beds split, but that never happened. The manager came over and started complaining. I reminded him that our request had been confirmed in the morning. He was a bit temperamental at first, but it calmed down when I asked for an extra duvet.

Amazing place , I would definitely go back!

Loved the stay

Slight misty smell in reception - probably due to hot weather and drainage . Rooms very clean but dates these days . Coffee at breakfast has to be black with milk unless paying extra for cappuccino or latte etc . Breakfast food selection was good. Was expecting the room to have a coffee machine , or more upper class coffee bags .

The hotel its self is good, clean rooms, bar area light, bright and a lovely area to sit The breakfast was a big let down, the cold options were excellent, variety and lovely and fresh, the hot options not so much, bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and mushrooms were all stone cold, the conveyor toaster was missing the ramp so the toast just dropped out of the back of the toaster on to the table top, you could easily burn yourself reaching right to the back of the toaster to retrieve your toast. Little things just let the hotel down and for the price (£280.00) for one night it really is unacceptable

Room was spotless. Coffee maker would be a fantastic finishing touch to the room. For the price of the room cheap coffee is not a good option.
