The Racquet Club

We had a fantastic stay at The Racquet Club in Liverpool as a couple on 28th August. The location is excellent and perfect for exploring the city, with car parking available close by. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely presented, and the reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were really impressed with the overall experience and felt it was great value for money. We would highly recommend The Racquet Club and will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We booked a private dining room at The Racquet Club for a golden wedding celebration with family. The whole experience was excellent from the meeting we had before the event with the lovely Sue, helping us to decide what we wanted, to the dinner itself. The food was very good quality, served hot and in a timely manner. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our guests particularly enjoyed playing on the two full size snooker tables upstairs! I would not hesitate to use the venue again, or to recommend it to others. My only slightly negative feedback would be that the room would benefit from some air conditioning or fans as it got very warm in the room. Also the toilets slightly let the otherwise very nice venue down - they would benefit from a refurbishment (broken floor tiles and loo roll holder, and dripping tap).

My sister had her wedding at the Racquet Club last Saturday. My sister and I and our family were so impressed with the staff. They spent hours with my sister, her finace and my Mum to discuss all the details of the wedding. They were always polite and willing to listen to my sister and my Mum. It was greatly appreciated that we could use a room downstairs to prepare the flower arrangements etc. We also appreciated how accommodating staff were - the day before we asked if canapes could be organised and this was agreed. On the day everything went to plan. The food was lovely and everything was well organised. For anyone looking for a fantastic and good value venue I would recommend the Racquet Club. My sister had the run of a dining room, bar area, lounge type area and snooker room, amazing, so there was plenty of room for those who didn't want to sit by the disco. If I lived in Liverpool I would have my reception there too! Thanks very much from all of our family!

Friendly hotel with lots of historical charm. The building was once a private gentleman’s club and prior to that owned by a shipping company. There’s lots of original features retained in the building design. Don’t go here expecting modern style of accommodation. The style is classic with friendly staff and winding staircases. The bedroom could do with updating but was comfortable and served the purpose for one night. The hotel is more boutique in style and with that comes a more personal service. Its central location is ideal for exploring. We had a Prosecco from the bar which was reasonably priced.

Rooms an Absolute Disgrace. Clean but Very, Very, Dated, Warn Out and Tired the 1st room Room 1, was like a Prison Cell so we asked to move the only other room available was Room 6 stained carpets, a bed with a mattress that was out of the Ark on top of a Plywood Base. It's probably the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept and also the worst room I ever stayed in....

Been here twice now and it is a really lovely venue. I haven't stayed at the hotel so I can't comment on that, but if you want to host a party here then this is a great venue. Really spacious and the staff are lovely. Lovely original features too..

Friendly small city hotel. Friendly small hotel in a great location for the city centre. Ill be back.
