The Plough Inn
"This is a very outstanding accomdoation for travellers. The enviorment and food are very good. Staff are very helpful. I stayed at the room rear door facing parking space which is very convenience. The impression of the Inn is impressive and would stay again when visting Wales. I love this Inn."
Mercure Swansea Hotel
"couldn't breath no air conditioning and no fan i was so sad"
Holiday Inn Express SWANSEA - EAST by IHG
"The hotel has what you need for a stopover and is convenient for the m4. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Parking is convenient and free. Small bar to relax in after a long drive. Bed was comfortable and overall it is very reasonably priced for a family room for 2 adults and a teenager. It is quite frustrating that no plug sockets are close to the bedside. Check-in was quite slow however the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The lift was broken, which was not a problem for us but we stayed here last October and it also broken then as well. Breakfast was good and staff helpful. Was really good that they provide a takeaway coffee cup and bag to take breakfast to go if you are in a hurry or have a teenage son that didn’t get up in time for breakfast 🙂"
Ty Mawr, Brechfa
"Ty Mawr is an absolute gem in the welsh countryside, very well located for visiting surrounding attractions. We visited with my elderly mum and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts in looking after her and ensuring her comfort. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom with walk-in shower were spacious enough for her walking frame and she had no issues in negotiating the downstairs and garden areas generally. Her only suggestion was that grab rails in the shower would have been welcomed. Our room was upstairs and again was spacious and well appointed. The king size bed was really comfortable. We were welcomed on arrival by David with tea and cake in the lounge and it was the start of fabulous food cooked by Gill. The dinner menu was varied and ever changing. The bar was well stocked with a decent wine list. Breakfast was perfect with lots of options. Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. The entire property is well maintained, clean and comfortable. We do not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing break with excellent food."
Cwtsh Hostel
"Friendly staff, but the street outside the room was quite noisy on Friday and Saturday."
Travelodge Swansea M4
"An older Travelodge located within the services area. Free parking and a range of food outlets. My room was on the lower floor. Downstairs from reception and no lift. The room was basic but had everything needed for a nights stay. There was a fan in the room (needed in the warm weather). I slept well with very little external noise. The shower wasn't very powerful but it was OK."
The Falcondale at Lampeter
"Spent a lovely couple of days at The Falcondale. We stayed in Room 8 (Maria Amelia Deluxe Double Four Poster). The room and the views are amazing. Breakfast was freshly cooked and high quality, evening meals in the restaurant were also outstanding. On our last day we had an 'afternoon tea', again outstanding. The staff were very friendly and helpful (thank you), they really made the stay for us! We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it."
