The Hotel Commodore is set in the heart of Wales, in the spa town of Llandrindod Wells. This Victorian hotel offers free WiFi in public areas, free parking, a restaurant, Harry Bar and outdoor seasonal heated pool.
This grand, historic Victorian building has been a hotel since 1886 and is within easy reach of all that Llandrindod Wells has to offer, including the spa waters, the beautiful lake and the rows of shops. A former rectory building, this Grade I listed building features Arts and Crafts design. It offers beautiful views of the surrounding valley and hills.
Each of the Hotel Commodore's rooms with attached bathroom is individually decorated, with a traditional style. Spacious and comfortable, all of the rooms have TVs, telephones and tea/coffee. Hairdryers are in every room and ironing facilities are available on all halls. The rear garden is secure for dog and children with a large decked area.
A traditional cooked Welsh breakfast is available every day.
The De Winton Restaurant offers good-value food and the menus change regularly to reflect the best seasonal produce available locally.
In 2017 The Hotel Commodore were proud winners of Channel 4's Four in a Bed voted best B&B in the competition.

The double bed was two singles pushed together. I spent most of the night sleeping on the ridge between them and woke up with backache. The decor is jaded and needs updating. The bar Staff refused to serve me particular drinks even though the bar was still open.

What a fabulous experience. Beautiful rooms. Extremely clean and comfortable with all the extra special little touches that make the stay more enjoyable. The staff were so friendly, helpful and pleasant. The food was great too. Thank you

I stayed at this hotel for a local conference. Second time I've stayed. Really enjoyed it once again The hotel is warm with nice staff. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. The room was nice and cosy with plenty of room to hold my things. Plenty of parking spaces. In the centre of Llandrindod and close to all shops. The roaring fire in the reception area is a nice and cosy touch

This is a family run business Andrea the owner was so friendly x I was having one of those days and she picked up on this and upgraded our room fab she even made us a snack lovely place and will definitely be going back thanks x and very central can’t wait to go back when the outside bar is opened

We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend and we had an amazing stay. Angela was so friendly and showed such kindness. She was a great host and nothing was to much trouble. We even managed to see the Northern lights during our stay. Breakfast was tasty, rooms comfortable and amazing cocktails. Definitely worth a stay if you are in the area. We will definitely be returning.

"Wow! My stay at Hotel Commodore was absolutely fantastic! From the delicious food to the amazing cocktails, everything was top-notch and reasonably priced. The bacon was especially tasty! The rooms had a unique character to them, unlike the generic hotel rooms you often find. And the views? Absolutely breathtaking! However, what truly sets Hotel Commodore apart is its exceptional staff. Andrea was an absolute superstar! She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she even took us up the fire escape to catch a glimpse of the northern lights! I cannot praise this establishment enough. A truly unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!"

We were booked to stay in another hotel in the area which was horrendous, Andrea from The Commodore came to our rescue, very late in the evening, with rooms for our group of 3 couples. Our rooms were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and the staff went out of their way to make sure every element of our stay was perfect. We even saw the Northern Lights with Andrea the owner from the top floor of the building. Thank you for everything you did, you turned our weekend from a nightmare to amazing. We highly recommend staying.

The Commodore is such lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was comfy & clean. Food was excellent. It was the best hotel breakfast that we've had in ages. Delicious and hot, which makes a change, so many hotel buffets are just luke warm. Well done & hope to be back next year.
