A beautifully situated hotel. Comfortable rooms. Very helpful staff throughout the hotel. There are plenty of areas for relaxing. Restaurant staff are really efficient and nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Arrived at hotel after a long drive ,we knew that we couldn’t check in early but asked if we could get a coffee ,receptionist told in no drinks available on change over day and to walk to the shops….not a good start. Room was allocated and I must say it was like a broom cupboard with no electricity sockets anywhere ,I’m asthmatic and use a nebuliser morning and night and needed to plug it in.The cleaner told me to use the extension cable which was hidden up the side of a very low cabinet with a tea tray on it,surely this is a health and safety issue as the plugs were getting very hot on using it. No room for a bedside table had to use the top of my suitcase. Food was very bland and tasteless and entertainment not the best. Very disappointed with this hotel ,won’t be going back.

Our first stay at The Somerset Hotel. Very much appreciated the porters taking our suitcases to our room for us on arrival. Our twin room was of adequate size, warm, with a lovely sea view. Bathroom was always chilly as it did not have heating, so stepping out of the hot shower was an uncomfortable chilly experience. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The quality of food for the evening meal was a disappointment. If you like tinned veg and processed food, you'll be fine. The hotel is in a perfect location for the high street, pier and local bus stops. The Great Orme Tram is also a short walk away. The positives far out weight the negatives, which is why I recommend this hotel.

We have holidayed with Daish many times now. Been to the Somerset about 18 months ago and just home yesterday from our second visit. We were more than happy from being picked up by ADAM our driver, very polite and got us there safe and sound. Reception check in - no fuss swift and FAITH very friendly and helpful. We had a room for 3 ( myHusband, myself and my Sister) Lovely clean room with a sea view. Perfect. Bathroom looked like had been updated, lovely shower and clean toilet. Breakfast and evening meals were perfectly adequate for us. Served hot by friendly efficient staff. Sammi was very good. Kevin the Bar Manager is a star. Lovely man, serves you quickly and bar prices good. Rob the duty Manager tries very hard to please everyone ( what is not easy!) The entertainment was great especially Rebecca Parry, very funny and a good voice. The day trip was good with a friendly driver SAM. Homeward journey was good driven by PAUL. All in all a great few days. Very good value for money. I think they are a good Team as the same faces as before so says to me, good Management! We will be back x

Went for Turkey and Tinsel with my sister and was lucky enough have a lovely sea view which sat looking at quite a bit. Room had sink in bit unusual. Meals good very friendly staff lovely waiter Corey. Bar staff very good to especially the lady unfortunately can’t remember her name. Snacks very nice in the snack bar and very friendly lady serving. Nice touch before getting on the coach manager welcomed us and then said farewell when we left. Would go again.

Reception staff brilliant and very helpful. Bedroom very clean, bed comfortable and pillows good. Food OK, nothing special but cooked and served nicely. Bar prices cheap. I had a most enjoyable value for money break. The other guests were all friendly and there is no problem going solo

Smelly, dirty, over priced hotel. The room we were given 312 is apparently a std room. Other couple we were with were in 303 & their room was twice the size, but std room too. Room was dirty, cleaners changed mugs each day but didn’t hoover, make bed or do any housekeeping. Food was beige & bland & nearly blended, ended up not eating as couldn’t stomach it. All crockery, cutlery & glasses were dirty at each meal. The windows were caked in bird poo, paint on windows peeling off, decor dated & place just generally uncared for. The hotel just gets guests in and don’t care about the quality of their stay. Treated the older guests like children. Told assistant manager about how I felt, they were polite, not apologetic, but couldn’t care less. Definitely won’t be back. I feel sorry for all people who are booked in the hotel.
