It felt like home from home, Liz , Ste & the staff are all great people, very welcoming and the food is amazing **************** The bed room was clean with all the trimmings hot chocolate tea coffee biscuits, just a grate place to stay or go for a meal and a couple of drinks.

My god.. the cottage pie was to die for!! My partner had the burger and licked the plate. Best pub food on Anglesey Will be coming here again. Steve the Irish man is an eccentric but made our night. Lots of welsh people enjoying the evening…

7 of us game here and all had burgers of one description or another. As a fussy burger eater, I would say these were delicious. The service was excellent, the lovely friendly barmaid came to take our drinks order, then later our food order. All came very promptly. And was perfect. We will defo come again, maybe even tomorrow. But certainly when we're next in the area. Big bonus that it's dog friendly. Food serving hours quite limited, 12-2 and 6-8.

I was travelling by myself on my motorcycle and this hotel is in a great location for visiting Anglesey and also plane spotting at RAF Valley. Liz and Steven are so helpful and friendly, even gave me a secure parking place for my bike. My room was perfect, spacious and very practical for all my gear. I eat in the hotel in the evening and the food was just great. The breakfast was superb and it set me up for the day for my travelling around. The hotel lounge and bar is so cozy and comfortable and just so nice to relax at the end of the day. I stayed for 2 nights and I had a great time and would truly recommend it; I'm sure that I will be back again. Liz and Steven might enjoy the photos.

Great place to stay, Steve and Liz are great hosts, they and the locals are great to Socialise with which I had done till 2am on my second night there at the bar downstairs in this very nice village on the Isle of Anglesey. They do a great deal on Half-board which includes both Breakfast and Dinner in the evening. Good pints of Bitter which are reasonably priced. Only a 30 minute drive to St Dwynwen's Cross which I visited on St Dwynwen's Day (25th January) which was why I booked 2 nights at this venue for the past 2 years in a row. Good location for visiting anywhere on the island such as St Dwynwen's Cross on Llanddwyn Island or Beaumaris Castle both of which are about 30 minutes by car and on the mainland Caernarfon and Bangor about 30-40 minutes by car too. I have stayed at this place twice now and in the same comfy Double Bed Room and would definitely stay here again which I plan to for St Dwynwen's Day again next year with the possibility of staying for 3 nights into the weekend then too.

What a great weekend! From the moment we walked through the door, we were warmly welcomed by both staff and locals alike! We were heading to the island for a weekend of sea fishing and biking and the village of Llanfachraeth proved to be an ideal location as a base for this, with easy access to Holyhead and the surrounding villages/towns. Our initial intention was to get the to hotel, check in and drop our bags before heading off for an evening out somewhere. But on arrival, we quickly realised that the pub already had everything we were looking for! Traditional pub food, good beer and a great atmosphere. Needless to say, we didn’t move from the place all night, but instead, spent the evening meeting new people and learning all about Anglesey and what activities are available. Steve and Liz were excellent hosts and they went out of their way to make us as comfortable and well looked after as possible, literally nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are all a good size with clean bathrooms and plenty of tea and coffee and toiletries, and there is a really well stocked village shop opposite for stocking up before setting off on days out etc. If you’re looking for a clinical, corporate style hotel, then I would suggest you look elsewhere, but if you want a warm, friendly pub style atmosphere with good food and drink, then the Gwesty Holland Hotel is the place to be. Thanks to everyone there for making our weekend really special.

Me and 2 friends stayed at the Holland hotel for 2 nights and what a laugh! The locals and staff are as friendly as they come. A really good bunch of people, the food was good and the rooms were clean. We came to do some fishing and water sports so was an ideal base for us and like I say we were made to feel very welcome.

Stayed with friends following an event at Anglesey circuit. Large car park ideal for those in vans or with trailers. Great hospitality by the owners and staff, made to feel most welcome, even after our last minute booking changes (our fault!) Rooms are clean and very comfortable, quite small but this is an old building that has clearly been lovingly brought as up to date as possible. We enjoyed an excellent bar meal and a couple too many pints that evening, followed by an invigorating breakfast the following morning. Excellent value all round, we will definately be back!
