Ive never written on here before, I felt I have to. We attended a wedding here recently, And what a beautiful, romantic house, from the moment you walk through the front door you feel the magic. The grounds are impeccable, the garden is manicured to the very finest detail, just amazing. The day seemed to flow seamlessly from the canapés to the welcome drinks, these happened during the arrival photos which was just on point. The Wedding Co ordination lady was very attentive always checking on everyone, staff knew exactly what to do and when to do it, the wedding breakfast was flawless the food was so delicious best roast potatoes I’ve ever eaten. The precision and flow of the day was perfect! Nothing was to much trouble, even at the end of the night the staff still gave 100%, The wedding co ordinator heard my friend mention she was endlessly thirsty all day and then out of nowhere came with a glass of water for her, it’s the little things that count and Peterstone definitely deliver. Thank you for a magical day and evening, we had an amazing time. The bride and groom looked fantastic and so relaxed. I was honoured to be a part of such a beautiful occasion. A wonderfully huge thank you to the Wedding co ordinator and staff, tip of the hat to you all. Di Iawn!

My partner surprised me to a half day spa day at Peterstone Court for my birthday. It included time in the spa, an hour massage and lunch. I started off in the spa. I had slippers, a robe and towel with my day and there is a room to change with lockers and showers. There was tea, coffee and herbal tea to help yourself to. I spent time in the jacuzzi, sauna and the relaxation room. For half a day, I think the size of the spa is no issues as there enough to fill your time. However, if you are there for longer, it could be better if there was more facilities to use. After time in the spa, I had my hour massage. I thought the massage was so lovely. It didn’t feel rushed at all and got the whole hours worth. It was really relaxing and being able to choose the oils used was a great touch. After the massage, I had some more time, so I headed back in to the spa before getting ready for lunch. On booking, my partner made them aware that I had coeliac disease. As we entered the restaurant, I didn’t have to tell them as they were already aware. My lunch was to be selected from a set menu which was 2 courses for £24 (included in the spa price). On my menu, I had it marked with was available for me to eat. The menu only had a few options, so I only had 1 option for each course to eat. However, my waitress said that if I didn’t like what was on the menu then the chef is able to make something different, which I thought was great. I did, however, pick from the menu as it sounded really lovely. I had the soup to start, with gluten free bread, and then the pork belly. I was really impressed with the lunch. I thought the food was fantastic and it made the half spa day even better value. Lunch on the website is labelled as a light lunch, so the lunch I got was much better than I was expecting. Overall, I had the best day and really enjoyed spending my birthday morning at Peterstone Court. I’d really recommend visiting their spa for a lovely treat and for, what I thought, was a great value for money half spa day.

What a wonderful Manor House and grounds. We visited as we have passed Peterstone numerous times in the past. The drive to the house is just beautiful. They may have had a wedding as there was a tipi in the garden. It looked wonderful along the poolside. This is where the magic stopped. We told reception we had lunch booked a young man on reception (looked half asleep) didn’t greet us really as he was busy on his iPad and basically dismissed us and pointed to the bar. We were then shown to our table, We had a fantastic view. We were given a menu and drinks order taken then 20mins later we had our drinks. We had to ask for water 3 times the same lady (Annabelle I heard somebody call her earlier) didn’t seem interested. She did eventually come back and take our food order while making things feel awkward as though we were an inconvenience. The food arrived it was beautiful. The meat was perfect and the gravy was amazing. Then came another wait to clear the table of plates and glasses. We asked the waitress from earlier she said she’ll be with us in a moment (very condescending attitude I’m sorry) never came back. A young man cleaned the table with an older lady. We then waited 20 mins for dessert, it was delicious though it just took so long to come. Over all our experience was mixed the venue and food was top class. The man on reception and the young lady who constantly sung (both not professional at all) let the experience down. The young lad and older lady were very professional and polite. The older lady even told us about the train journey you can do. We will definitely visit again as the food was wonderful. Maybe some extra support on staff etiquette is needed or they were having a bad day!

Excellent service. Over priced drinks £19 for two small glasses of prosecco put a damper on the Sunday lunch. Beautiful establishment and gardens. Will return and order water instead of bubbly. Would be a beautiful setting for special occasions for photographs

We waited 30 minutes to order our pre lunch drinks. When the order eventually arrived it was incorrect. Nothing too exotic was ordered - a lager and a lime and tonic. We were shown to our table and after a short wait, drinks orders were taken. We could not order our food at the same time without the waiter checking with the kitchen first of all. We waited so long, a second waiter asked if we had placed our orders and we explained that the first waiter was actually checking with the kitchen. Our order was eventually taken and shortly afterwards the waiter appeared, apologising, to tell us that there were no vegetarian options available. He looked somewhat surprised when he was told that the vegetarian didn't eat meat which meant there was nothing else suitable on the menu. He did go back to check with the kitchen and returned to say that the chef would be able to prepare a lentil cassoulet, which did sound rather underwhelming. We left. Our table was reserved for 130pm and we specifically mentioned that a vegetarian was dining. It was disappointing that they had run out of the vegetarian main, when they were probably half way through service. We did try to pay for our drinks before leaving but this was waived. We believe the waiter was Mitchell and he was the only saving grace in a rather poor experience. Very disappointing.

What an amazing hotel and stay we had. We booked the Sunday stay over package and had a delicious Sunday lunch with an extra bonus of local carols being sung by the local Brecon choir, which were wonderful. The food was fantastic given how busy it was - piping hot, high quality and plenty of it. Lovely little touches like a jug of extra gravy, oodles of veg including cauliflower cheese and lovely starter/pudding - we can away from the table very pleasantly full. Bradley and his team really looked after everyone and throughout our stay they could not have been more helpful. Add in a wonderful room with a view, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished we thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary cheese board with wine that evening. The next morning we rounded off our stay with a fabulous full Welsh breakfast and headed off a very happy couple. We will be back.
