The best accidental find! Room was spacious, super clean and had a beautiful view! Situated in a lovely quiet village with a fresh bakery, tapas restaurant and a few little shops. Breakfast was really lovely. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Some amazing walks close by and my personal favourite a Starbucks only a mile down the road. Would highly recommended! We will definitely be returning. Thank you!

A lovely hotel with a warm, professional welcome. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and of course there's a perfect pint of Robinson's. The room was warm, the bed was very comfortable and the only sound was the birds in the morning. It's a lovely place to stay.

Stopped here recently when working in Dolgellau. The staff have all been very welcoming, helpful and professional. My room was comfortable and had everything needed for the 4 nights I stayed. The food in the restaurant was good with a varied menu, lots of options to choose from. I had the steak which was delicious and cooked perfectly and I had a burger which was great. The bar has a good choice of drinks, I enjoyed some of their ales. My favourite part was the full breakfast, served in large breakfast/dining room. If I stay in Dolgellau again I wouldn’t hesitate to choose the Royal Ship Inn.

We enjoyed a couple of pints outside in the sunshine with our Border Collie then came in and enjoyed a great meal. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was delicious - shame we didn't have room for a pudding! we will definitely return next time we are in the area.

we have stayed in the ship a few times now and have found it a great place to stay, the rooms are good and the food is great. The staff are very friendly and the service they provide is great they cant do enough for you, we cant wait to go back to the royal ship dolgellau very soon.

We recently came here for a Sunday evening meal. We ended up having a roast dinner. Despite the reviews our experience was not good. The main issue was that the parsnips were hard and the potatoes were little more than boiled potatoes. My beef was ok but very over done and my wife’s pork was excessively fatty. The Yorkshires were ok and the green veg was good and the portion size was fine. We may have been unlucky but otherwise I wouldn’t eat here again.

Arrived early as we always do. Greeted by the lovely friendly John and his team. They make us so welcome and have become friends. Had lunch which was delicious as always. Food and drinks menu are great lots to pick from. Service was perfect staff always smiling and happy. We stayed in room 114 its so clean the bed pillows mattress quilt so comfy I always have the best sleep when here. Bathroom very spacious and spotless. Lots of tea coffee and bottled water in the room and is always filled up again. If you need anything staff go out of their way to help nothing is a problem . Breakfast is yummy lots to pick from. Can't wait to be back it's become our second home ❤️

Well were do i start, this was my second visit, I had such an amazing time at The Royal Ship, the management and staff were superb, the rooms were stunning, it was so cosy and warm, they made my morning by catering to my breakfast needs.. would 100 percent go back..

A pretty & very Welsh town & having checked out the area, came to the conclusion that this was the best spot to drink, eat & stay in. The hotel was well decorated & well looked after & our host was incredibly efficient-checking us in, guiding us round the hotel, serving drinks then finally our evening meal. The room was lovely, with everything we needed & I’m glad we booked a table, because it proved very popular. Our meal was ok. Obviously a set menu that couldn’t be deviated from, so was a tad uninspiring, but overall, a pleasant enough stay.
