I booked it based on the map. It looked like it was not far from the main road, so I thought the traffic would be convenient. But it was not. You need to drive a short distance to get in and out, which is troublesome when you meet other cars. The hotel itself is very good. Christmas is coming soon, and the decoration is very warm. The breakfast is also delicious.

The location is very good, clean and tidy, and the service is great. The location is a bit remote, but you can experience the rare British rural life, which will be a rare experience.

I booked this Inn in September 2024. I booked a twin room for me and my friend as we were going to Wales to watch the rugby. All good, all confirmed! We got to the Inn and 1st impressions from outside were great. Went in and got our room key but as it was already getting on for 9pm we decided to eat rather than go to our room 1st. The food was lovely but some bits were missing like the mayo that was meant to be with the chicken (from the Tapas menu). The hummous was good but only came with two tiny triangles of bread. Puddings were great. We paid and went to find our room. We walked into the room and were surprised to see clothes on one of the bed, a bag on a chair and a wash bag on a bedside table. We went back to reception to explain and the chap there was a little surprised. Once he realised this was the situation he got the chef to come and speak to us. Both were apologetic but were stumped as what had happened or what to do. They checked all other rooms and said there was only 1 left. It was as I took the key that I asked if this was a twin room. Awkward pause then they said no double. The chef said he was unsure what to say to apologise and asked if were going to the bar for drinks. We said no, it was about 10 by now and we'd had a long day and a long journey home the next day. We said as we luckily got on well we'd have to just share the bed. We were tired, at an Inn in the middle of nowhere, that had no other rooms available - what else were we meant to do / say?! The guy offered us a bottle of wine as an apology (we got a cheap bottle if white) and two of their free logo'd beer glasses. Not great when I had booked a specific type of room 5 / 6 mths previous and they'd given it to other people in error. We went to the room and found a tiny double bed to share. Sitting on the bed, adding to the crap situation we ended up on, the matteress just 'collapsed' it was like all the springs had gone - it was awful. So after trying to get to sleep listening to some loud neighbours we had a restless night. Openning the window as it was too hot all you could hear was traffic ALL NIGHT. In the morning a water fountain came on. It was not peaceful. Going for a shower one of the towels had a stain on it (reddy / brown), the shower tray was dirty. We struggled to get the bathroom door to lock. It was just a let down. So we went for breakfast. We walked in asking where to sit, the lady said on the table where your name is. As we looked she asked my name so I said and she the quickly swapped a name on a board on a table with mine and said we could sit there. Weird! We then got an apple juice each, in a glass i'd of given a child, it was tiny. I asked for well done, crispy bacon with a couple of other bits. The bacon was not crispy at all. Such a shame as it had potential but we wouldn't go back. So disappointing.

This was an 80th Birthday Celebration for my husband. We booked several rooms so that we could eat dinner together the evening before his birthday and wake up and have breakfast together. The room was ok, comfortable bed, tea/ coffee etc provided and some Welsh cakes which was a nice touch. Dinner was lovely, nothing was too much trouble for Kelly, the food was great from the smallest wanting a picnic box to meeting the needs of the oldest in our party. The same at breakfast, extra requests were all met . I didn't have the name of the person who served us but she was great. I only gave 4 stars not 5 as maybe the carpets in the room could do with a refresh and I ran the shower in the morning for quite a while waiting for the water to warm up. I gave up and had a wash, my husband went in after me and was a little more patient, so he had a nice hot shower! Overall a lovely time for us all .

Booked a table last minute. It had a lovely atmosphere and was a proper pub like place. We ordered nachos to start, took a little while but was yummy. I had lasagne, this was very nice however seemed more like 90% beef and 10% pasta. The flavour was alright but I did have to leave a lot of the beef out as it was too much just plain beef and not enough pasta sheets at all. My partner had the chicken burger which was good. We would’ve stayed for dessert but the none of the options really suited us and seemed a standard for a restaurant, it would’ve been nice to have something different. All reasonable pricing, staff were polite, friendly and happy to assist. Also loved the uniform and decoration throughout.

I had the fish pie from the specials, and it was yum! good ratio of fish and mash with a really nice crisp cheesy top. The servers were really nice and helpful, accommodating to changes to food well. I would recommend for a great casual pub dinner with friends or family!

Very pleasantly surprised with the hotel combination just off the main road very well insulated from the sound. Room was clean and tidy and the ensuite very good with a nice shower. The pub itself was really excellent and we enjoyed being in there with the food being hot and very tasty indeed. The pub itself has many little rooms and nooks and crannies! Breakfast was as good as you would want with everything on the menu and hot and plentiful. Unfortunately the weather was against us so exploring the great outdoors was pretty impossible however we will be back and will certainly recommend it to other people who are coming to the area.
