Had to book a last minute hotel and found the Greyhound. Staff so friendly,really lovely room tasteful decor and spotless. Lovely touch was the honesty snack bar on the landing. Good value and tasty supper in pub and breakfast next morning. Excellent value Highly recommended

This is an excellent hotel. Not pretentious. Extremely kind, attentive and cheerful staff. It is obviously a venue and a service appreciated by the community, young and old, as witnessed by the many patrons in the bar enjoying the chat. My wife and I stayed 2 nights. The rooms are clean. The breakfast was excellent. We also had dinner there with five other family members. We all voted it an excellent evening.

Ten golfers stayed here for two nights you couldn’t find fault anywhere. The rooms are well presented and comfortable and have tea/coffee facilities and good Wi-Fi connections. We all ate there on the first night and ordered a variety of different dishes, all of which was enjoyed. As for breakfast , you’d have trouble finding a better one anywhere. If you fancy a light breakfast it’s all there for you but try the full English you won’t be disappointed. The staff in the bar and restaurant and very friendly and can’t do enough to make sure you have a good stay. We would definitely return to the Greyhound when we are at Builth Wells again.

Stayed in early June. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our evening meal was ok and made from prepared dishes - fish cakes and steak pie, mushrooms on ciabatta with fish pie - reheated for serving. The public areas and bedrooms were clean. The bins in our bedroom were dirty with trash underneath one of the bin liners. The dining/breakfast room smelled of cooking fat from the car very. The kitchen had uncovered milk in the fridge.
