"Son Penya is a really nice place for a relaxing holiday within the hills of northeast of Mallorca. Once you found the hotel ( it is not that easy when you are here for the first time), you will be impressed. A perfect location , beautiful garden, friendly and experienced staff. We had a Pool Villa, a really huge house, modern style, with a fantastic Pool. It is totally quiet here, the immediate neighbour you do not hear, the villas are seperated. And it is absoltely relaxing to sit here and look to the opposite hills and the vineyards below. Breakfast here is a great start into the day, it offers everything you need while sitting under old olive trees. We have already been here several times, and enjoyed it every time."

"Without a doubt, the best hotel on the entire beach! Even at check-in, Laura greeted us at reception with her warm and charming smile – a true angel on earth. Thanks to her warm welcome and excellent service, we immediately felt right at home. The hotel is impeccably clean, very modern, and boasts first-class facilities. The food is varied and delicious, and the view is simply breathtaking. Since returning to Germany, we think back to our wonderful time here every single day with joy and longing. A huge thank you to Laura and the entire team – you made our stay unforgettable!"

"24.08.16-23 - 4 friends NEGATIVE: It is completely unacceptable that the air conditioner did not work (there is no normal air conditioner installed in the hotel, there is a central air conditioner, which is not very good when it is working, because it cannot be adjusted, it blows from the hole under the ceiling, which flows directly into the person's face. It is not very healthy . It was about 35 degrees Celsius during the day. There were no refrigerators in the rooms, water was available at the hotel for €4/L. We only got free water for breakfast. People couldn't sleep or rest, they put the mattress on the balcony at night so they could get some sleep. I read the comments and saw that there was no air conditioning even on August 5th. Compared to that, when we asked about it on Saturday (08.17), they said that it was broken and that no maintenance staff was working on the weekend, but they would take care of it as soon as possible. Nothing happened, in the end they offered a €50/person coupon that could be used to buy a drink. It's a shame that they allow themselves to do this and don't even inform you upon arrival or before. I wouldn't have gone to this hotel if I knew that. Also: There is no Wi-Fi in the rooms, only for a fee. Very few people speak/understand English, except at reception. POSITIVE: close to the see, the beach is great, clean, white sand. If you want to free place, it worth going at early morning otherwise you cannot find any sunbed and ambrella. The pool is also clean and comfortable. The rooms are very small but modern, there was cleaning every day. The most of the staff were friendly."

"Our stay at this hotel was terrible. We were both bitten during the two nights we were there. Although the hotel insists there were no bed bugs, in our opinion there is no doubt that they were. We consulted a doctor, who confirmed that they were bites. When we reported the situation to reception, they told us it was too late to change rooms and the only solution was to change the sheets, which did not solve the problem; we were bitten again the second night. The hotel flatly refused to refund our money. But that's not the worst of it. The last straw: THREATS by phone and text message. After we left a review detailing our experience on ***********, the hotel owner called us to threaten us, saying he would come to France and beat us up. He then continued sending threatening messages, of which we have screenshots. *********** was informed of the matter, but due to the stress the situation caused us, we deleted the review. In addition: - Double charges and non-existent services. We were charged for the reservation twice on different days. We only received a refund after complaining, without a single apology. - There's no hot water in the afternoon (from 7 pm onwards). - Non-existent Wi-Fi. - They don't answer the phone. Conclusion: This has been the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. Not only because of the bites, but also because of the violent and threatening attitude of the owner. If you value your safety and peace of mind, stay away from this place."

"The staff are so friendly and the hotel is finished to a high standard, our room was upgraded to a suite (compliments of the hotel) and it was amazing! If you are worried that this hotel is still a building site based on other reviews don’t be, it’s finished and facilities are fantastic. You’ll enjoy a relaxing holiday here with the service expected for a 5 star hotel. The spa is worth a visit and kept my teenagers happy, the pool is spacious, you’re not squashed in like other hotels on the beach front and the relaxed vibe is very chill. We stayed B&B as we like to eat out and the breakfast was great with lots of variety."

"Stumbled upon this Hotel when trying to book Mallorcan hotels off the beaten track but wanted a couple of nights by the sea. The hotel wins for it stunning grounds, views and pools (especially the infinity pool diwn the hill) . The number of guests being few allow you to feel like you are having a luxury personal villa experience. I loved the restaurant with friendly staff and stylish food. Where else could you earch the pink moon arise above the horizon. Very special."

"From the moment you’ll walk into this charming hotel you feel sudden tranquility and at peace. It’s located in a heart of town with multiple restaurants nearby just a few minutes walk away. The interior is unique and beautiful. At the reception there’s a polite note where members of the staff can be easily found. The restaurant serves phenomenal breakfast with plenty of tasty choices. The octopus as a starter for dinner is a must! The rooms are clean, private, spacious, bright and you’re instantly feeling at home. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable. The rooftop garden has a mini pool and loungers overlooking beautiful Artá. The owner as well as other staff members couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. The only downside of my stay was that I couldn’t stay there longer :) I’ll definitely be back and would recommend Forn Nou Hotel and restaurant to anyone who appreciates the best things in life :)"

"Location is excellent beautiful resort. Firstly note that drop off by coach is on the main road you will need to walk a few minutes with your case down to an alley not ideal when arriving at night or if you have mobility issues. The food was varied and was ok. The pool area is small and sunbeds are very close together. You will need to be up early (6.30qm to 7.00am) to reserve one. Unfortunately the outdoor pool area is not cleaned regularly we were up early to reserve a bed and noted rubbish was not cleared from underneath the beds eg lemon slices attracting ants. The outdoor pool is small for the size of the hotel, you can't really swim without bumping into others. More a stand around pool. The indoor pool area could do with a coat of paint, several areas paint peeling and hanging off. Definitely needs a refresh. The rooms although clean are extremely tired and dated. You should pay for an upgrade otherwise your view is of the alleyway. The hotel itself is split into two with the pool being across the alleyway. Overall I do not think this a 4star hotel compared to others I have stayed at."
