"My parents and I spent a week in Cala Ratjada. End of June, early July was busy but not yet crowded. This destination is very popular with German tourists. Beside Spanish/Catalan most people speak German and some also English. It is located at Mallorca's easternmost tip within 90 minutes of a smooth drive from Palma airport. Some famous caves and beaches are accessible by car within less than an hour. Cala Ratjada boasts with a smaller, nice beach with cristal clear water excellent for swimming. The town has got a very nice and clean promenade with plenty of small shops, bars and restaurants. While the accommodation in the Hotel Na Forana is old fashioned it is clean and well maintained. The food quality and selection is good. The personnel is busy but helpful. Surrounded by plenty of pine trees at the extremity of Cala Ratjada it offers a rather peaceful vibe with practically no noise. Overall, it is a good destination for a family vacation."

Of all the places we visited in Mallorca, I thought Arta was the most authentic and least touristy/busy. Forn Nou is in close proximity to tons of beaches, hiked, art, and good food. I have a great video of our room, but Trip Advisor won’t let me upload a video, apparently."

"Have you ever booked your honeymoon, paying for a 5 star hotel, and then arriving to find the whole hotel is under construction? None of the advertised amenities are available because, they too are under construction? Yeah me neither, until we went to Hipotels Hipocampo Palace this week. I rarely write reviews but I felt compelled to share this. We were blatantly misled (frankly lied to). When we requested to move to a different Hipotel property in the area we got put into a 3 or 4 star different hotel while still paying our original price. We lost an entire day of our honeymoon dealing with this, logistics and moving hotels. What did Hipotels give us for upending our honeymoon? A complimentary drink ticket and 10% off coupon at their restaurant. Buyer beware when booking here as the website is completely deceiving and off base (at least until construction is complete). However more disappointing was their lack of service and accountability."

The rooms all over look the lovely swimming pool and well maintained gardens, there are ample comfortable sun beds, and a great pool bar serving food and drinks. The rooms are clean and comfortable and very quiet. The staff are fantastic, and can’t do enough to make you happy. The dining area is spacious and serves a good variety of food. Overall a excellent hotel and good value for money."

"This hotel was a bit disappointing. First, they assigned us a corner room at the back of the hotel, which had no view whatsoever except for rocks. Then, there was a smell coming from the bathroom. The pool was also much smaller than I expected, and it was very far from the city center with no amenities nearby."

"We recently stayed for a week as a family. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, can’t complain. We did all inclusive one of the days which was good. The grounds and hotel itself it’s nice and clean. The pools games the children loved. We stayed for he entertainment one evening which was enjoyable. Staff all helpful and friendly. The only issue I had was on check out, I asked to use a shower prior to our flight home, which was on the evening. I was told we can use the spa facilities. We headed down and the whole place was absolutely wet through, there were not one single room dry to enable us to get dressed, also no towels (which I would have thought was a given) it was also absolutely red hot down there. Just generally very uncomfortable. I think maybe offering a room would be better, which is what we have been provided in other hotels."

"Nice hotel, bit dated and bathroom lacked a good scrub but was spacious and beds comfy. Pillows not to my personal liking but thats ok. Had an old adjoining room so we heard everything from the room next door, sneezing, talking and snoring! Agh. Balcony huge and facing the mountains which was lovely and we had the sun in afternoon. Food, only had breakfast but they catered well for Gluten free. Had their own station, schar products such as bread, muffins and cereal in packets. Good selection of just about everything else, hot buffet and cold meats cheeses etc. the fruit was delicious and of course drinks both hot and cold. Close to all you needed, gorgeous scenery and restaurants all catering for Gluten free too. Sangria was the best!"

"The pool (seawater filtered) is very large, and the beach is right in front. The underground spa also has a cold water pool (seawater filtered) and a jacuzzi, perfect for refreshing yourself. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of dishes. The hotel held various events from daytime through the evening. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making it easy to get around. There are also many supermarkets and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient."

"What a beautiful spot! Such a stunning hotel, modern, clean, the staff is very kind and breakfast is out of this world! Freshly prepared juices, a big buffet with more than you can think of. There's a chef too, to bake pancakes or cook a fresh ommelette. I think the swimming pool and sauna make it even better to enjoy and switch off. The hotel is close to the high street but no noises bothered me. Would really love to be here again. 🫶🏼"
