"The hotel has been renovated since my last visit. At first it gave a good impression. But, the room was not the one I booked. They gave me the key to a small suit, in stead of the large suite I had payed for. The room had some sort of stinking purfume sticks in the room. The beds weer too soft. The soap was some sort of foam, and not a gel. It was also far too smelly. The area that used to be the main resturant, was now reserved for breakfast. What used to be a very nice lounge was now the resturant. I have to admit everything was clean, and the staf were very pleasent."

"We were there for a course in preparation for an impending retirement. Two nights in a stuffy hotel room. It is (too) hot and stuffy in the entire building. Only the training room was pleasant because of air conditioning. We did not like the room we were initially assigned at all. We reported this to reception, after which we were immediately given a better room on the 2nd floor. So that was neatly arranged. The rooms are old-fashioned and dated. There is thick rust on the central heating radiators in the swimming pool. And that doesn't matter, as long as the price is right. We paid euro 100 for the extra night in the room (2 persons). Enough grumbling; now the good things. The breakfast was worth the hotel's 4 stars. And that also applies to lunch and dinner. Delicious food every time. And downstairs (lounge, restaurant, toilets, etc.) it looks great. But unfortunately when you go up the stairs to your hotel room you enter a different world. Decide for yourself whether you think it is worth the price asked. It won't be the fault of the staff..."

A further compliment to the host: after our departure, I found that I had left my mobile phone. She helped immediately, sent the phone next day and made a huge effort to ensure that, despite a very good turn, it eventually came back to me.
