It’s been a long while since I’ve stayed at a Premier Inn so perhaps I had too high an expectation for this stay. The check in was fairly stress free and the person that checked us in was very polite and helpful, so far so good. Had a bit of a struggle opening the door initially to get to the lift but this was probably user error. The room was clean and tidy however one of the mugs was dirty and although we tried rinsing it remained so, no container in the bathroom which was needed for mouth guard/retainer. The air conditioner in the room did not appear to be working very well as even with it on the lowest setting the room was still too hot for me. I have a crutch so get rather tired when lots of walking is required so when leaving raised the mug issue at reception and was told we would be able to get another from the restaurant but as we were leaving for the evening this was not possible, also requested another small towel on our return. I had directions on my phone but asked which direction to take when exiting showing the app however receptionist seemed confused as it wasn’t on Google maps so ended up initially going on in wrong direction as I mistakenly followed their advice. On return towel was there which was collected however due to lateness of return was unable to access the other mug from the restaurant. The room was tidy and clean, as were the towels, the room had a good amount of space to be able to manoeuvre and the staff were polite and accommodating so feel bad for moaning. As I said at the beginning perhaps my expectations were just too high.
