Hotels near Boston University - London in London

Got upgraded to a family room with 2 queen beds which was a good start to the stay. However everything went downhill from there. The housekeeping only arranges the bed, didn’t refil body wash / clear bins unless the bin was full of rubbish. We wanted to do some laundry but the service was terrible. Bad communication among staff and resulted in paying almost 10 pounds per clothing. A good thing is that it’s about 3 mins away from Gloucester station and Sainsbury for daily things.

We stayed for 5 nights in September, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. I'll break it down into pros/cons: Pros: Location - close to Earls Court and tube station, yet far enough away that it was mostly quiet outside. Price - this was a fairly competitive price, at least given that I booked well in advance Maintenance staff - were extremely quick to respond to a blown fuse/circuit in the room Shower - great water pressure, waterfall shower and handheld, hot water no issues. Cons: WiFi - worst WiFi I've ever had at a hotel - it either wouldn't connect, was slow, or would drop entirely. You couldn't even log in properly without first calling the front desk who gave you an IP address that you had to use to force a login. Even then it's an open WiFi setup, meaning anyone could be on it. Towels - smallest and most threadbare towels I've ever seen, especially at 4 star hotel. Room size - we booked one of the larger rooms they had, but it was still quite small but maybe not terrible for London, depending on your experience. Bed - this might just be me, but I found the bed uncomfortable as it had very little support and was far too soft. Again, personal preference. Staff - generally fairly indifferent at the front desk, lobby, etc. the majority of staff seemed to just be standing around and didn't seem to care what was going on. Some of this might be related to the fact that I had booked via a third party (Expedia), at least the front desk experience. There was occasionally a doorman working, but not always. One morning I went out to grab coffee and found much of the lobby/door unattended, but 3 staff members outside having a smoke and feeding pigeons. Noise - the hotel was mostly quiet on the outside overnight, other than a few loud cars but was fairly subdued. The loudest part of the hotel was the cleaning staff literally yelling in the hallways every morning beginning at 7:30am. If you're trying to sleep past this time, good luck - not the ideal way to start a vacation, especially if you're adjusting to a time difference. No attention paid to any do not disturb signs on any of the rooms, at least in terms of not literally shouting an inch from your door. Overall I'd call this hotel fairly average. I was mostly drawn to the hotel given the positive TA reviews, especially those with the lack of noise. Unfortunately that ended up being not the case for our stay. I've certainly stayed in nicer hotels in the Kensington area, I'd likely go back to one of those first.

This is a very nice hotel, in a prime location. As I was visiting for a stint in the National Archives in Kew, it was ideally placed for me between That and the super busy inner city. The rooms are small but comfortable. The whole place is squeeky clean, which was more important for me than size - I did not plan to be in the room other than for sleeping. The area is teeming with nice cafés tto grab breakfast, which I usually prefer anyway to eating at the hotel. The rooms could do well with a small fridge, even though I am not a minibar user. The staff are super nice and helpful, I really felt welcome.

I understand that you get what you pay for and we have stayed in an EasyHotel before (the one in Victoria) so we knew what to expect, but it could have been cleaner and better maintained. We stayed in one of the windowless rooms as we were just going to a concert at the Royal Albert hall and leaving straight away in the morning, so we really only needed a bed and a bathroom, so the no window wasn't an issue and made the room cheaper. We also knew that EasyHotels don't usually have tea/coffee facilities and the rooms are very small so there is no drawers/wardrobe etc. which we were fine with as we just wanted a cheap room for one night. My issue was with the fact that the bathroom sink appeared to not have been cleaned properly - there was makeup and hairs in it.. Also one of the walls around the mirror had not been finished painted so was kind of just bare concrete. Next, inside the room, the walls had big dents in them and the wall panels were kind of coming away from the wall which hadn't been fixed.. The walls are also quite thin and I woke up a couple of times in the night to noises coming from other rooms. Lastly it seemed like a child had put the bedding on - we had to put the sheet on ourselves as it had practically just been laid on the bed without being tucked in, there was a hole in the duvet cover, and the mattress was extremely lumpy with a big hole right in the middle meaning we were rolling into each other all night into this dip in the middle haha.. Another thing which bothers me (which is just a cosmetic observation really) is that the rooms are lined with that grey industrial lino you would find in a school corridor or hospital, they could have at least used wood-effect lino - same price but a much nicer, homey vibe. We were only there overnight so just around 9 hours approx. But still these are all issues which could be easily fixed with some proper upkeep. On a positive note the 24 hour check in is great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The TV in the room worked fine and we had no issues with the shower/toilet etc. Location is also easy walking distance from the Royal Albert Hall.

We booked 16 nights at this hotel. On the 1st day after I paid the lady told me that the AC isn't working since the morning & they're working on fixing it!! We stayed there for our 1st night then left for 1 night to another city, told them you have 1 day to fix it or I need a full refund. We came back & it was fixed but was super cold & the AC was facing the bed!! So the cold air is just hitting your face the whole time which made us sick & have headache. I asked to change the room they said they're fully booked but we can check for tomorrow. Next day we came back from outside and they told us they fixed the fans. Whenever I ask them for anything regarding the city they're clueless & start thinking of an answer even when I asked them from where I can get the same biscuits they put for us they said they don't know 🙃. 1 day before our checkout i asked them if we can extend our checkout time because 11 am is too early and our flight is at 9:30 pm, the guy who was Turkish was very nice and he said until 1:30 pm. On our checkout day we went out and suddenly the tube that supposed to take us to Earl's Court skipped that station and took us to a far one so we had to change our station trice which made us 35 - 40 mins late to our checkout (which we can't control) The Malaysian lady or idk her nationality but she wears hijab which was the same lady who waitedfor me to pay our full stay before she informs me that the ac isn'tworking , called my brother (who was in another country) and told him that she will take out our stuff from the room, he told her to not touch anything. When we reached the hotel that Malaysian rude lady was standing next to the lift told me in a very rude tone (excuse me you're late and this isn't acceptable) so I told her yes I know but I can't control the traffic in London, she replied saying ( this isn't acceptable and you will pay) then she left without looking at us saying how rude!! The rest of the staff were very polite & understandable. The funny thing that we faced a lot of issues with the hotel but neither me or my spoke with her in such a rude way!!!! We're customers and we can be a referral of this hotel but definitely not this time! I will make sure to do the opposite and not recommend this hotel to any of our family, friends, or colleagues. She totally destroyed our last 30 mins at the hotel. I paid £2,656 to get treated like this!! When we 1st came she was trying to be nice because she sees us a money bag but when our stay has finished then we are useless and it's fine to kick us out and talk with us in a rude way!! In addition to all of this their room service is very poor, how many times they don't wash the cups or add toilet paper. Their restaurant is very unappetising. Not recommended at all, believe me save your money and time you can find better hotels in the same area or Gloucester Road

Good service, the people at the front desk are very nice. The room was clean and spacious. Convenient to travel, very close to Tesco. The serviced apartments are very well equipped.

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff in particular Daniel behind the Matthew were great staff so helpful and polite 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend this place ☺️you won't be disappointed!! Breakfast was fantastic too!!

Good location, very close to Imperial College, in the middle of Gloucester Road and South Kensington subway station, it is more convenient to transfer to anywhere. The hotel faces the street and is more or less noisy at night. It is also a residential renovation. Although the facilities are not old (in the case of Britain), the house is a bit crowded. The self-service ibis is quite good value for money and the Crowne Plaza next to it doesn't feel much better than it.

Stayed here as was supposed to be a 15 minute walk to Royal Albert Hall for an event but is quite a long way if you have problem walking and in the heat. Brilliant distance from Gloucester Road tube station with very frequent tubes to King's Cross. Friendly and helpful staff. Were given room 570 room itself was ok for one night but bathroom smelt fusty and actually saw a silverfish insect on the towel that was left on the bath which shows a sign of damp as it is in the basement not a good view outside. Whether we were given this room as we booked through Hotels.com and not direct through hotel not sure but certainly wasn't worth the just over £160 paid for 1 night. Very small bathroom and couldn't use bath or shower as glass door doesn't open fully to be able to get in and out if you have mobility problems. Suppose we should have mentioned this on booking information? Be careful when booking other than through the hotel as although we could book a room with or without breakfast it does only include a continental breakfast which was quite adequate and plentiful - lovely tasting strawberries! We are not regular London visitors anything to stay away really so unlikely to come back in any event but would probably book a Premier inn if needs mist again.

The hotel is located in the first district, the location is very good, the travel is very convenient, and the staff are very friendly. But other than that, not much good. Space is too cramped, including aisles and rooms. The width of the corridor is narrow, there are many fire doors, and the dark tone makes it uncomfortable to walk through the long and winding corridor; I booked a superior single room because I was traveling alone. The size of the room is still too small. When I live in a hotel, I pack things neatly. If I get used to spreading everything out, the experience will be even worse. Overall, no special recommendation. But the location is really good, it is very convenient and safe to travel and live.
