Quirky, boutique style Hotel in a great location for shopping, theatres etc.. but our experience meant no sleep at all! Unfortunately our room (115, first floor) had a balcony/window which opened right onto an events/club (HERE at Outernet) which has day & night events so non stop continuous noise & queues right outside. Night events going on after 4am so be prepared for no sleep. Not just noisy from the music but from queues of screaming/shouting people right outside. We were assured on arrival that we wouldn't hear anything from our room and it was quiet but sadly this was the complete opposite. We did raise the issue after our first night and considered checking out but again we were reassured there wouldn't be noise as there wasn't an event on that evening. I suppose we shouldn't have trusted it but we did and yet again another sleepless night as there was a night event that hadn't been advertised! It was a rare birthday treat (escaping 2 children) which sadly left us both exhausted but mainly frustrated that staff weren't truthful or overly bothered with helping us. We also had cigarette smoke coming through our Bathroom Saturday morning apparently from a guest smoking in their room! I had to follow up on this issue as again no-one seemed too bothered about it. Im still waiting for a reply from the manager! Couple of other things to note the extra service charge is true - you'll be charged unbeknown from the deposit, no kettle/water/milk in rooms. but these are minor issues compared to getting no sleep which in my opinion is one of the main objectives of a good hotel....

This was one of the most amazing hotels we've stayed in. We were in a bind and were lucky to get a room at the last minute. Our room, the John Snow* room, was delightful! It was a lovely, large room with a very comfortable four poster bed, a sitting area with lush cushions and a separate large bathroom with a claw foot bathtub, large shower and a throne chair for the toilet. The hotel's commitment to sustainable choices include bamboo toilet paper rolls and unbleached tissues as well Land & Water toiletry products. This is a just one of the many wonderful perks about this lovely Boutique hotel consisting of 3 Georgian townhomes. There is so much history involved with origins from the 1718. There is an honest bar in the library where you can make your own drink from all sorts of choices provided as well a drink of the month with recipe included. There is also a Gin room with many options. On arriving there is yummy and refreshing pitcher of Lemonade in the reception area. There are over 2000 paintings throughout the hotel and each room. The room service is impeccable and includes tea, breakfast and meals 24 hours. I asked one of the front desk reps since I had trouble with jet lagged could I get ice cream at 4:00 a.m.? He cheerfully replied YES! We enjoyed the room service daily with fresh coffee, tea and breakfasts. I was pleasantly surprised when my sweetie arranged for extra amenities suggested as an option on check-in. We got a book, ”The 500 Hidden Secrets of London” as well as a gorgeous bouquet of flowers that were delivered in a shopping bag vs a vase which made it so easy to transport to our Viking Cruise ship when we checked out. The staff was amazing and eager to please. We left a tip at the end of our stay and were told that they'll put in a kitty to have a party for all. I could go on and on about this delightful experience but will end with it was the perfect spot for us to stay to acclimate our selves to London, tend to our jet lag, and be spoiled before going on to our next destination. This is a MUST see and if you're lucky a MUST stay!! *John Snow is not the Jon Snow of Game of Thrones but the doctor who discovered and help stop the Cholera epidemic.

Wow. This is simply a wonderful hotel. Right in the heart of Theatre land and next door to Covent Garden. What a perfect location. The hotel itself is beautiful. Fantastic staff. Fabulous room. Lovely lounge and library area and an honesty bar. We had an evening dinner which was excellent. And breakfast was brilliant. I cannot fault this wonderful hotel. And it is now the only hotel we will stay in when we come to London.

This was my first time in London. I stayed at the Bloomsbury Hotel and I cannot say enough good things about The Bloomsbury. The hotel was luxurious, my room was immaculate and well appointed. But the best part of the Bloomsbury was the staff, everyone was polite and welcoming and always willing to help. I would be remiss not to give a shout out to Nayeema and Suhaina, the two girls working the front desk who spent an enormous amount of time with me helping to get me checked into my flight back to Arizona, both of them literally walked the extra mile to ensure I was checked in properly. The premium lodgings, plus high-quality staff members e.g. Nayeema and Suhaina insure all of my future business when I visit London. David

I actually really liked the stay here. Simple, classy, hub hotel room. Amazing central London location. Steps away from tube station, we visited tourist sites in the area. Great for our city weekend break. The beds are superbly comfortable. I travelled solo ALOT for work, so I know what I like or not about hotel rooms. On this occasion I was traveling with my 3 kids, and the absence of TV meant they slept undistracted. The absence of carpeted floors, decorative pillows and bed runners, (that I suspect are rarely washed in other hotels) was perfect, as it means I didn't have to make sure my kids weren't touching any unclean fabric items. We were out for majority of our stay. So the lack of view/windows, wasn't any concern. No breakfast option, but we grabbed fruit for breakfast from Tesco express nearby. There is a 24hour cafe & bar next door, that is good option too. If you know what you're booking and what to expect, you won't be claustrophobic, instead you'll be pleasantly surprised. Reception team member is my reason for leaving a review though - he comp'd our left luggage :) I hope if Zedwell family see this they compliment his action, because he's gained you return custom and extra revenue, as I'll now book again due to how thoughtful and personable his service was towards my family, thank you. I've misplaced where I noted his name, Sherif(?) [Tall, young, South Asian origin]. Looking forward to our next stay at Zedwell

Prime location just off Oxford Street, close to theatre, tubes. Clean bedding, hot water, tv, hairdryer, clean fresh towels - yes rooms are a little small but when all you need is a bed for the night after sightseeing all day absolutely perfect. All staff were more than welcoming and helpful, we arrived at 12.00 to leave bags and were straight away shown to our room. It is undergoing an upgrade after chatting to the lovely guy on reception, and they are doing it very tastefully. Felt very safe there ( I stayed with my 16 year old daughter) slept well and there was absolutely no rush to be checked out, very casual and accommodating - really cannot faut this little gem for anyone waning a cheap, budget break - highly recommend - thank you to all of the team at the Cheshire for having us, we will be back:)

Another fabulous stay at St Giles. Lovely room. Best shower ever! Didn’t have breakfast, at £15 each we , as pensioners thought we don’t eat enough to warrant it. Had a nice meal at VQ restaurant. Nice food and 20% discount for residents. Will return!
