Best Western Chiswick Palace Suites

I need to preface this with: I booked this 2 months ago for 3 people. We arrived via a side door, checked in and told our room is on the second floor. We weren't directed to stairs or a lift, we just had to find out own way. Once we made it up the four flights of stairs, we were greeted by a room with 2 beds.. But there are 3 of us! We immediately call reception to be told that they are looking into it and will call us back. We sit in our first (YES, FIRST) room for 20 minutes before chasing up with the reception staff. We are told that a colleague is on the way, Great! We meet him in the stairwell as we weren't sure he would be able to find us. He advises that there aren't any rooms as they are fully booked. But sir, we booked a triple room, 2 months ago, why was this not accommodated for at the time? He said that they had a potential room in the basement we can look at. We query if there are 3 beds, his response ”just come and look”. Again, we ask: Are there 3 beds though? - ”Come and look, we can get you more blankets if you are happy with it”. Sorry sir, excuse me? He then informs us that we can leave our bags in the HALL WAY. We are not leaving our belongings in the hallway. We go down 6 flights of stairs to the basement to be shown a studio flat with 1 double bed, a single bed in an office and... yes.. you guessed it.. a sofa. Ah, that is why he said he can get us extra blankets. We inform the member of staff that this isn't acceptable. He states that there are no more rooms. We reiterate that we booked this 2 months ago for 3 people and wonder why we haven't been accommodated. We are THEN told there is a room, but the lights don't work. We go in and the lights do work but one of the beds has been slept in, the toilet is dirty and used (as has the shower) and there are hand prints on the ceiling. The wifi also isn't reliable. We ask for 3 pillows - receive 2 (as the beds didn't have pillows). We tell the member of staff that the toilet is dirty and he says - quite flippantly - ”well.. do you want me to come and clean it?” I'm sorry but he should be saying that he WILL come and clean it. The room has obviously been used and not cleaned at all. We are woken up by people walking up and down the corridor banging loudly (We are in the basement remember) and I am pretty sure someone tried to come in, but luckily we locked the door!

Clayton Hotel Chiswick

We have just moved to London with my wife and we were looking for a nice accommodation for 14 weeks. We thought that it might be good idea to settle in Chiswick in Clayton Hotel as it is not so busy area. However we were totally disappointed. Just a short summary: 1. We paid for one night at the first day as my company had to pay for the rest of accommodation on next day. Next day when I was at work the hotel BLOCKED the room saying that they will not let her into until they get the payment from the company. Nice, yeah? 2. Cleaning service was just awful. It was fine the first couple of days but than they just stopped to change the cups, blankets, toilet paper and even towels! At one day we came quite late to the room and called the reception asking them to bring the glasses as they were not changed dieting the day and they refused saying that they don’t have any late services for that and if we want new cups we have to go down to the bar and take them. The tables had not been cleaned properly so that a lot of spots stayed on the surface. We also asked to change the blankets twice - no result. 3. The final day was even more interesting. We had plenty of luggages and despite the fact that reception kept some of our staff they provided NO HELP in getting our luggage to the taxi just looking how difficult it was for us. Never again, Clayton. Goodbye.

Conveniently located from the Acton town subway, about 5 minutes walk. Take the mill hill Road, walk to the forked road and walk to the traffic lights to see the hotel. All the way to see the old houses, some old, some broken. The room is small, but it is very clean, just renovated, the room lighting is very modern. There is an elevator. The bed was very comfortable. The English breakfast does not have to eat for a day, and the amount is too large. The English bar is also quite tasteful. Next to it is a big supermarket morrisons.WIFI is very convenient.

I stayed here as I had work commitments nearby and it was convenient. I must admit, I usually only stay at 5 star hotels however there was nothing else available. That being said, the bed was comfy, the room was clean, the customer service was excellent and room service prompt. The car parking was excellent value for money and allowed for you to leave and come back as you please. The downside was perhaps the the dark carpets and the low ceilings making it feel a bit closed in. The lift/elevator also reminded me of being in a hospital - needs updating. However, I’ve stayed at 5 stars and have had bad customer service, slow phone responses when contacting front desk, hairs in the room, dust on sideboards..etc. Overall I was impressed with not having any issues in any of these areas!

Love this hotel stay here every time we visit london. Rooms are a good size for a family of 4. I visit withHubby and both my 7year old and 4 year old. Excellent leisure facilities! Has a lovely swimming pool which always has a decent temperature alongside a sauna and a gym. Excellent changing rooms but found to be very cold when entering. This hotels has excellent staff working here and this visit was by far the best. I had a lovely warm Top class female named Priti check us out. Priti had very good humour and made us smile she was very helpful and mentioned we still had complimentary welcome drinks left on our room stay which we had before we left. Very professional and excellent communication skills from staff here. Attentive and very helpful never appear to be stressed. Go far and beyond. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to stay on my next visit which will be in October term.

After reading the previous reviews we were little concerned. Arrived on a back street in Acton to find the hotel. Check in was 15:00. We were asked for a £50 deposit which we paid cash and got a receipt. The family room was around the side of the building and accessed by a site gate. The room itself is tired and could do with a bit of redecoration, but was serviceable. There is a working fridge, a good bath and shower and no problems with hot water. The beds were comfortable and the bedding clean. Not a premier Inn but not bad. For the price we paid for London it was cheap and cheerful. The tube is a 10 minute walk away with loads of places to eat withing a small radius. The only thing to watch out for is there is really very little parking. Parking is free ONLY at the weekends, otherwise you will have to find somewhere. We parked about a 5 minute walk away and this is 24 hour and cost us £10 a day, cheaper than the city near where we live.... The deposit was returned with no problems. A cheap place to stay for a family trip to London.
