We had to leave very unexpectedly, but did find the hotel a little run down looking from the outside. We had arrived early and the room was ready, but we could only check in early for an extra charge which we declined, as we were going out anyway so just left our bags in the car. The room was supposed to be an executive room however, it was like any other room we had ever stayed in so don’t know what was executive about it. Tea tray was a bit stingy with 1 packet of biscuits between 2 of us (1 biscuit each). Only 4 milk cartons, but plenty of tea and coffee sachets. The bathroom had nice shower gel and lotion supplied with plenty of towels but, also had blue insulation tape on the radiator and the ceiling above the bath was peeling it all looked a little tired. The room was clean and perfectly comfortable, but definitely lacked that added luxury that I thought we had upgraded to with executive. Maybe that was my own fault not checking exactly what the difference was between normal and executive aside from the price. Sadly, our trip was cut short with an emergency, so we never got to stay overnight or sample the breakfast.

We stayed here for a couple of nights as going to the rugby at Twickenham. Reception were very welcoming and we were very pleased with our room - which looked very stylish. Nice welcoming touches of the port and brownies. There was a good bar/snack selection, with prices clearly displayed on a menu. The room had obviously been recently refurbished and had really nice decor and things around the room. The heated floor in the bathroom was lovely. Shower was great and spacious. The bed was very comfortable - just a shame to be woken both nights at at approx 2am with the noise of dragging furniture. The first night we assumed it was reorganisation for the forthcoming match but couldn't work out why the second night. On discussing it on checkout it turns out it was the cleaners. In a big room like the one on the ground floor, if they come in at night they need to be very aware of noise and how it travels. Being kept awake for 90 mins is not good. We had breakfast both mornings. The food was great but it was let down by lack of staff - the person on duty both mornings was so so busy, running around sorting coffee, orders, refilling juice.... and breakfast orders built up waiting for service (10 at one stage, there for 8 mins or more) that it was cold when it arrived. Cold porridge is not good. Eventually more people did appear to help with service but it needs more than one person on from the start. Also need to sort the toast situation. We were asked if we wanted it and said yes, but then it turns out we needed to sort it ourselves - using a 2 slot toaster near the serving pass. This resulted in very long queues. Need to either do it in the kitchen or provide a larger toaster or two (and some sliced bread to toast). No marmalade available either. Great to have a range of options but do supply the basics too!! Dinner was good - tasty and well cooked. Overall a lovely stay. All staff were welcoming and helpful. Just a few things that need sorting to get more stars! - The glass shelf above the sink in room 8 - tilts and tips things into the sink Needs a little grub screw to secure and stop everything keep falling off! -Wallpaper was coming away from the ceiling and could do with sorting before it looks shabby. - Staff to serve breakfasts - Marmalade! - More toasters - or serve the toast done - Quieter cleaners in the middle of the night

Stayed many times in this Hotel around 4 years ago due to high standards of staff and service. Unfortunately although the staff are still very professional and also friendly, the room standards have certainly dropped. You now have an empty space where the fridge used to be, sticks are provided instead of tea spoons for tea/coffee. Tissues run out after three uses, cupboard doors not aligned correctly so had to force shut. Under bed found sweet, dust and paper. Had to clean mirror, as it obviously had been wiped over with a dirty cloth and left to dry. Prices substantially increased since pandemic I believe. Not what it was, hopefully just a blip and situation will improve as all other facilities including restaurant and location are excellent.

After living in London for 5 days, I decided to go to Kingston for a day before returning to the country. I got off at Surbiton Station and across the road was the hotel. Special praise for dining, breakfast choices are better than many four-star hotels in London. There is also a discount of happy hour from 5 to 8 in the evening. The sommelier service is very attentive and polite, and the standard of food is quite good. In short, very high cost performance.
