Novotel London West

This hotel is perfect for group tours! Its location is absolutely superb, right outside Hamlyn Station, which made meeting up with our tour group the next day incredibly convenient – no rushing at all. Both the facilities and service at the hotel were excellent, making for a fantastic overall stay. The only thing to note is a £50 per night deposit required for each room. I stayed three nights, so I paid a total of £150 deposit, which was refunded promptly upon check-out as per their procedure.

The hotel's location is a bit west of the city center, taking about half an hour to reach Big Ben and the main train stations. However, it's right next to Hammersmith, a major tube and bus hub, making getting around very convenient. Because of its location, the price is also more attractive compared to hotels in the core area. Hotel rooms in the UK are generally small, but this room size was quite good. Even with the sofa bed open, there was still enough space to open luggage and move around. The hotel breakfast was typical English fare. Since this was our last stop and we'd been eating English breakfast for over ten days, we weren't particularly excited by it. Although the variety was the same, the quality of the breakfast at this hotel was very high. As a price-sensitive customer, I chose this hotel because of the significantly higher prices for similar quality in the city center. Overall, I feel it was a very good choice.

The room was spacious and quiet, and both check-in and check-out were very convenient. There are bus and metro stations nearby, making it super easy to join tours from Hammersmith or get to Heathrow Airport. The breakfast was also quite substantial. The only downside was the lack of a non-slip mat, which I had to ask the front desk for.
