Mercure London Hyde Park Hotel Reviews

Very small. My room is located in a very narrow corridor that allows only 1 person to walk tru! Quite clean, ok if you just want to have hot water to wash and sleep. Worth only if you can book it cheap for HK$1,300 per night.

Great stay, great location, a lot of options for food like Bella italia right next door! Easy to get to Paddington and Lancaster Gate on the central line, can be in Oxford Circus in 10 minutes or so, will be back again!

The ladies in front desk at night are super helpful and patient. Deserve a raise! About the hotel, the location is 5 mins away from Paddington station. Convenient. 

We arrived to check in at midnight but was told that Trip.com overbooked the hotel and there were no rooms for us. Transferred us to their neighbour Hotel Indigo. Waiting time was extremely long and tiring with no reassurances or updates from the manager on duty. We had to approach other staff to find a solution for us. Finally they put us up in a 2 Singles room supposedly for wheelchair access (we booked King bed). Great coffee machine and room slippers provided. Close proximity 2mins to Paddington station.

The elevator was out of service, so we had to use the stairs every time we got to the third floor. No prior explanation was given. The walls were thin, so we could hear everything from the next room. The staff sat on the stairs, but they didn't seem to mind that we were being a nuisance. I'll never stay here again.

It is actually connected to the hotel next door and shares a breakfast room called Bella Italia. The breakfast variety is average and the service is average. Check out another one next time.

The room had to be small, so I paid an extra 100 pounds to get a twin room, which was also small, 15 square meters. The sound insulation is not good either. It seems that the laundry room is next to the room and it is very noisy early in the morning. The only advantage is that it is close to Hyde Park and Paddington train station. The location is okay.

The surrounding environment is very good, very clean and convenient to eat, Hyde Park is only a few minutes' walk away.

The location is very close to Paddington train station and subway station, there are Big Bus and Golden Bus Tour stations nearby, and there is Hyde Park walking south. Drinks, tea bags, and biscuits are all free. The room space is small and it will be very narrow with a large suitcase. When you check-out, just put the door card in the small box at the counter. Overall, the location and service are very convenient.
