Booked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and only a 15 minute walk from a venue I was in London to visit. Upon arrival there was a couple stood outside who told me they'd been trying for about 10 minutes to get into the hotel to check in. The three of us rang the bell several more times, tried ringing but nobody answered and eventually the door opened. Receptionist was told we'd been outside a while, he said 'sorry I was with a customer' but sounded more annoyed than apologetic. My room was on the top floor, no elevator but this is usual in budget London hotels, bit of a trek and narrow staircase which I had to navigate with my bags. The room itself seemed clean enough but I was shocked by all the mould above the shower, I'm not really a clean freak in hotels but did find that a bit gross. The cold water tap didn't work, randomly did work just before I went to bed and by the next morning stopped working again, very random. Sound-proofing wasn't great, again this is fairly typical for a budget London hotel, street noise and noise from other guests can be quite loud but despite this I managed to sleep okay. Was woken up five minutes before my alarm by a woman knocking on my door to ask if I wanted late checkout? I'd been told checkout was at 10AM and it was 9AM when she knocked so I asked if checkout was actually at 9 to which she replied "oh" and then left? Also *********** advises 10:30AM checkout, the sign downstairs says you have to be out by 11AM but receptionist said 10AM. I felt pressured to get up and get out at that point. The area it's in was decent, plenty of places to eat and shops to grab anything you need. I travelled alone and whilst I didn't feel unsafe in the hotel I didn't feel safe either. Overall I probably wouldn't stay here again.

I highly recommend against any human being staying here. It is a serious health hazard. I have been conned by old pictures and possibly fictitious reviews. Firstly, upon entry to the hotel, I was greeted by the musty stench of cigarette smoke. There was nobody to check me and my friend in; we had been told that our key cards would be left in a cupboard in the reception area. Though I had been called to expect this earlier in the day, having no staff on shift until the end of check-in time is surely below the bar. After calling a member of staff to tell him we had arrived, he then told us that if the key cards went near our mobile phones, they would no longer be able to work due an interference. Not ideal... I was informed that I was in room 27 (which was located in the basement of the hotel... if it can even be called such). The corridor was dingy, and I could not find the room not only down to the poor lighting, but due to the fact there was no number on the door to the room. It was guesswork trying to find it, which could have been a recipe for disaster. Upon entering to room, I found that the blind did not fit the window and there were specks of dirt on the mirror. When I tested the bed, it felt as if it was going to collapse in two because of the lack of support. Furthermore, wanting to charge my phone, I plugged it into the extension cable socket - it sparked. After traveling on a scorching day, I wanted to have a shower, but after inspecting the cubicle and the ceiling of the shower room, I found that it was ridden with mould. Moreover, in order to use the toilet, you would have to reverse: it had an area of around 1.5m x 1.5m (perhaps less). Realising that I couldn't possibly spend the night here, I visited my friend's room. Room 4 was even worse than room 27. The carpet, again, was ridden with mould and it was obvious that underneath and behind the bed had not been cleaned before our arrival. With the amount of dust and mould in the premises, I could feel it becoming more and more difficult to breathe. Thankfully, a Premier Inn was able to take us and we escaped the horror of the Manor Hotel after just 25 mins. This saved me from potentially becoming ill. £234 for the pleasure of prison simulation (2 single rooms, 2 nights).

Smelly. Carpet is dirty. Room poorly kept. Constant leakage at the toilet. No hand and face towel. Terrible mattress and pillow. No front office service, basically unmanned. Hairdryer does not work. Minimal space in the room, which barely hold a bed. Too expensive for the visitors unlit y if the property and absence of service. It should not be sold by *******.

Bed only but free Wi-Fi . If you are on a tight budget and only need a bed for nights. This is okay. Stayed for 5 nights in the twin roon shown in the pictures ours had ensuite bathroom . Staff, okay , beds made, but not sure if new sheets, and fresh towels each day . Tea and coffee facilities, although, ran out of normal tea. Bit dusty, an old building, so every move from upstairs could be heard. Luckily, I took ear plugs . Our toilet was loose, so squeaking every time sat on it. Noisy neighbours on weekend party till 2 a.m. Again, I'm glad I had ear plugs. Charging sockets near the bed was a nice surprise. It's no travel lodge, but it had free WiFi and was in the centre of things around corner from underground

Had queen room booked elsewhere for lower price, but was canceled out from under us by that hotel when they decided to renovate. Ended up with room at Manor Hotel with 2 twin beds. Listing did not mention that there was a sink in the corner of the room, but the rest of the washroom was down the hall & shared by all. Bath towel, soap, & shampoo on the beds, but no shower in the building that we could find, and concluded that cleaning up amounted to a sponge bath at the corner sink in the room. Small TV mounted high on the wall. Twin beds arranged end-to-end separated by an end table with the phone. Very small room. Building very old with hot water radiator heat (not needed this time of year) and cooling by running fan a ways away from open window (because head end of one of the beds was directly under window). Very easy walk from Earl’s Court tube station. Only there 2 nights, so served our purpose. Was adequate for our stay , but would definitely book somewhere else for stay longer than that.

Cancelled room 15 minutes before check in and offered no help whatsoever. Unfriendly and unprofessional. *******/Manor Hotel, avoid at all cost.

I am a frequent traveller to hotels in London and this is in my top 3 worst places to stay. No one at reception (stuck in traffic apparently), so the cleaner let us in. When the receptionist arrived he had no clue about our booking. I had to explain everything. Eventually he found it on 'the system'. We were then allocated a downsized room with shared toilet and bathroom. I brought my wife so this was a non-negotiable and why we paid for the 'deluxe double bedroom'. There was no toilet roll in two of the bathrooms. Third time lucky I found some! Room was clean and the area was great. Book at your own risk.

The room was comfortable, and more spacious than I expected it to be. Check in was an easy process and the staff were friendly. We discovered dirty cutlery in a drawer from a previous guest and a half-eaten cookie under the bed, so perhaps housekeeping could have done a slightly more thorough job of turning over the room, but other than that the space was clean, the decor cheerful and the amenities as advertised. The bathroom was also larger than I expected, especially for Zone 3 London! The location is superb - around the corner from Earls Court Underground and lots of shops and bus stops. Would definitely book again!

Stayed here for convenience and cheapness! My husband and I had a double room which was adequate but our friend had a lower floor single room, I never in my life have seen a single room like it, it was beyond belief! He had a small basin with completely broken taps which were unusable and the basin was covered in limescale, no proper curtains just one pulled straight across which only hung halfway down, the dressing table drawers didn’t close and just stuck out and the base of the bed was torn! Tried to ask for a new room and was declined. I was absolutely gobbed smacked it was diabolical! I’ve stayed in many hotels which have been poor but this place is a joke!
