Palmers Lodge Swiss Cottage

Second time staying here, like the female only dorms. It was rather warm in the 12 bed basement room, it felt like the heating was still on! Bathroom was right next door though, always facilities available, nice hot showers. Breakfast was great as before, well worth it! Staff always lovely, and always someone keeping things clean and tidy. Have recommended to friends. Only issues were maybe needing some privacy screening on the windows - people entering the hostel can see into the room. And asking people not to smoke by the entrance, as the smell drifts into the room. Ideal if you're going to anything in Camden, just a short taxi ride away.

I loved the place, people were very nice be it the travellers or the workers, the kitchen is tiny tiny so don’t be in a rush if you’re trying to get something going.

I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Palmer's Lodge. Every single staff member was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. The reception team was so welcoming and patient—when I accidentally locked myself out of my room three times, they kindly unlocked the door for me every single time with a smile! Also, when there was a minor issue with a flooded floor in the laundry room, a male staff member responded immediately and made it sparkling clean in no time. It was quite hot in London during my stay, but the hostel was very comfortable. Upon my check-in, the bed-making was exceptionally neat and professional. I also really appreciated that a large electric fan was set up in the room, which kept the environment cool and pleasant. Even when I accidentally thought I lost something after checking out, the team was incredibly responsive and helpful in assisting me. The location is also perfect for music fans! You can easily walk to the famous Abbey Road zebra crossing. If you go early in the morning when there is very little traffic, you can take as many pictures as you want without any hassle. Don't miss the breakfast either—the chocolate danishes and chocolate muffins were absolutely delicious! It is such a comfortable, safe, and lovely hostel. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to London, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

At 60 I never thought I'd fall in LOVE Again, A million Thank Yous to all the Smiles, Hello, Warm Welcomes from the STAFF at this Swiss Chalet. I had no reason to tour London.
