Overall, my stay at Dreamtel London Kensington Hotel was a mixed experience. The location of the hotel is fantastic, making it convenient to explore the vibrant neighborhood and nearby attractions. However, I was disappointed with the amenities provided. Several issues were encountered, including broken table lamps and a malfunctioning hairdryer. With some improvements to the amenities, particularly ensuring that all equipment is in proper working order, Dreamtel London Kensington Hotel has the potential to provide a more satisfactory guest experience.

This is a very nice hotel, in a prime location. As I was visiting for a stint in the National Archives in Kew, it was ideally placed for me between That and the super busy inner city. The rooms are small but comfortable. The whole place is squeeky clean, which was more important for me than size - I did not plan to be in the room other than for sleeping. The area is teeming with nice cafés tto grab breakfast, which I usually prefer anyway to eating at the hotel. The rooms could do well with a small fridge, even though I am not a minibar user. The staff are super nice and helpful, I really felt welcome.

We stayed for 5 nights in September, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. I'll break it down into pros/cons: Pros: Location - close to Earls Court and tube station, yet far enough away that it was mostly quiet outside. Price - this was a fairly competitive price, at least given that I booked well in advance Maintenance staff - were extremely quick to respond to a blown fuse/circuit in the room Shower - great water pressure, waterfall shower and handheld, hot water no issues. Cons: WiFi - worst WiFi I've ever had at a hotel - it either wouldn't connect, was slow, or would drop entirely. You couldn't even log in properly without first calling the front desk who gave you an IP address that you had to use to force a login. Even then it's an open WiFi setup, meaning anyone could be on it. Towels - smallest and most threadbare towels I've ever seen, especially at 4 star hotel. Room size - we booked one of the larger rooms they had, but it was still quite small but maybe not terrible for London, depending on your experience. Bed - this might just be me, but I found the bed uncomfortable as it had very little support and was far too soft. Again, personal preference. Staff - generally fairly indifferent at the front desk, lobby, etc. the majority of staff seemed to just be standing around and didn't seem to care what was going on. Some of this might be related to the fact that I had booked via a third party (Expedia), at least the front desk experience. There was occasionally a doorman working, but not always. One morning I went out to grab coffee and found much of the lobby/door unattended, but 3 staff members outside having a smoke and feeding pigeons. Noise - the hotel was mostly quiet on the outside overnight, other than a few loud cars but was fairly subdued. The loudest part of the hotel was the cleaning staff literally yelling in the hallways every morning beginning at 7:30am. If you're trying to sleep past this time, good luck - not the ideal way to start a vacation, especially if you're adjusting to a time difference. No attention paid to any do not disturb signs on any of the rooms, at least in terms of not literally shouting an inch from your door. Overall I'd call this hotel fairly average. I was mostly drawn to the hotel given the positive TA reviews, especially those with the lack of noise. Unfortunately that ended up being not the case for our stay. I've certainly stayed in nicer hotels in the Kensington area, I'd likely go back to one of those first.

Bread and cereal were available by self-service for breakfast from around 6:00 am. From around 8:00 AM, the staff warmed up sausages and baked beans, and after 8:30 AM, the staff cooked fried eggs and offered them to those who wanted them. Availability may vary depending on the day. Self-service breakfast was prepared even when checking out early in the morning, which was helpful.

Very beautiful and clean hotel, the lobby is also very nice, the lady at the front desk is very gentle and even helps to carry the suitcases, it's great 👍🏻

Good service, the people at the front desk are very nice. The room was clean and spacious. Convenient to travel, very close to Tesco. The serviced apartments are very well equipped.

I originally booked the opposite ibis, but when it was nearly 11 o'clock in the evening, the front desk told us that without our order and the room was full? The room booked a month in advance turned out and told me there was no order. Fortunately, Ctrip's customer service has been helping us solve the problem, helping us find a room in the hotel opposite and compensating for the difference. However, this kind of single order encounter is too bad, it is already sleepy and tired, and we have to go to the hotel in the middle of the night.

For its price, stay was very good. The staff were quite helpful, and the rooms functional. Location was also quite good. It was relatively close to the Tube and Bus routes, but was far enough from the usual tourist traps to avoid the excess foot traffic. Ideal for longer trips in the capital.

Despite the fact that it was -1 floor, it did not affect my living and self-awareness. There was a busy Cromwell Road nearby, but the noise did not penetrate the apartments. Everything was renovated, with new kitchen equipment, silent air conditioners. Professional and friendly employees work at the reception, you can check in around the clock. The maids regularly clean up the garbage and fulfill requests. Of the minuses ... you can only indicate a relatively high cost, but ... this was determined for the most part by the area ...

For a no fuss tourist traveler who wants a comfortable clean modern place to sleep, look no further. Right beside the tube station you will see the entrance to the hotel amongst the busy vibrant high street shops. Go upstairs and you’ll find the hidden reception, the man on duty on our arrival was very charming and helpful, we got our key and shown the way to our room. Now, there are no lifts, so bare this in mind. Also, there is no bar or lobby area. The room was gorgeous, modern and clean, tea and coffee facilities, safe, a beautiful bathroom. You couldn’t fault the room, perfect comfortable beds. I would highly recommend this hotel.
