After having checked carefully... To escape, The rooms are never made Stay 3 nights, no change of towels, no bed made nothing... For almost £300.... WiFi is payable... The evening meals are frozen and I was sick the 2nd meal.....I have all my ways. The staff is very unfriendly. No one speaks French or even tries. The smiles... Well total absence There is only the breakfast which is not too bad, too bad the tables are dirty and there is no real coffee....at £9... The noises in the corridors are ”normal” here The plus....the stores around Starbucks and even a nice pub where you eat well

We stayed here for a couple of nights as going to the rugby at Twickenham. Reception were very welcoming and we were very pleased with our room - which looked very stylish. Nice welcoming touches of the port and brownies. There was a good bar/snack selection, with prices clearly displayed on a menu. The room had obviously been recently refurbished and had really nice decor and things around the room. The heated floor in the bathroom was lovely. Shower was great and spacious. The bed was very comfortable - just a shame to be woken both nights at at approx 2am with the noise of dragging furniture. The first night we assumed it was reorganisation for the forthcoming match but couldn't work out why the second night. On discussing it on checkout it turns out it was the cleaners. In a big room like the one on the ground floor, if they come in at night they need to be very aware of noise and how it travels. Being kept awake for 90 mins is not good. We had breakfast both mornings. The food was great but it was let down by lack of staff - the person on duty both mornings was so so busy, running around sorting coffee, orders, refilling juice.... and breakfast orders built up waiting for service (10 at one stage, there for 8 mins or more) that it was cold when it arrived. Cold porridge is not good. Eventually more people did appear to help with service but it needs more than one person on from the start. Also need to sort the toast situation. We were asked if we wanted it and said yes, but then it turns out we needed to sort it ourselves - using a 2 slot toaster near the serving pass. This resulted in very long queues. Need to either do it in the kitchen or provide a larger toaster or two (and some sliced bread to toast). No marmalade available either. Great to have a range of options but do supply the basics too!! Dinner was good - tasty and well cooked. Overall a lovely stay. All staff were welcoming and helpful. Just a few things that need sorting to get more stars! - The glass shelf above the sink in room 8 - tilts and tips things into the sink Needs a little grub screw to secure and stop everything keep falling off! -Wallpaper was coming away from the ceiling and could do with sorting before it looks shabby. - Staff to serve breakfasts - Marmalade! - More toasters - or serve the toast done - Quieter cleaners in the middle of the night

I made a booking through *********** at this place for my nieces and nephew to stay for two days. They were returning from Ireland before flying out of Heathrow and, due to the planned transport strike, it made sense to book something near the airport. I had read through the terms and conditions of the booking and had made the booking under the name of my niece who is 25 years old. After the booking, I received an email from the property that required supply of ID for all persons staying at the property and pre-authorisation of a credit card for a £200 deposit. The requirement of ID prior to arrival is not on the hotel policy, which states that “Guest are required to show a photo identification… upon check-in.” Never have I experience this before! After the the IDs were provided I received a ”We are sorry to inform you that you don’t meet our minimum check-in age which is 25 years, as the reservation is on your name we require you to be at least 25 years old to check in. Additionally, it’s not possible to change the name on the reservation. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause. As your reservation is non-refundable, we are unable to waive cancellation fees for this reservation. The minimum check in age alongside other policies and house rules are clearly stated on *********** for all our guests to read before selecting to book and paying, etc”, All this was incorrect. I called the hotel and was told that although the named person was 25, the others were not. It is not in their policy that “all people” must be over 25 and I questioned the requirement as they obviously allow families with children to stay. I was told that it didn’t matter and they would not be allowed to stay and I wouldn't get any refund (even though the booking was in line with their policy). The pure rudeness, lack of integrity and honesty of this hotel astounds me. I am so disappointed that *********** continues to supports this place with so many poor reviews. So much for a customer focused industry! STAY AWAY PLEASE.
Travelodge London Teddington

I have had a good experience staying at the Teddington Hotel in London. The hotel is located about 40 min from London by train and the best thing is that the train station is 5 min from the hotel. The hotel is well maintained, clean and quiet. There is practically no noise from outside in the rooms or from the hotel itself. The room in which I stayed was clean, tidy and well preserved with furniture and belongings. The bathroom is also very clean and well maintained. The only drawback was the absence of room cleaning service during my four day stay. Neither do they replace your used towels or replace your toilet paper. You have to ask for these two things if you need them. But despite everything I have been satisfied because the price compensates for the defects
