One of the best hotels in London, with first-class service, first-class sanitation, first-class location, just on Regent Street, five minutes walk from Oxford Street, 15 minutes walk from Bond Street, to satisfy your various shopping desires, to the nearest nando's five minutes away. Coming and going in a hurry, I didn't have time to try the SPA and afternoon tea (it is said to be the place where afternoon tea was invented). The hotel facilities are relatively old, the room is too small, enough for two people, and the sound insulation is not good. It does not meet the hotel's level and price at all. It only depends on the hardware and the maximum is 2,000 RMB per night. However, there seem to be so few hotel rooms in the same location and level in the UK. I don't understand how those European friends with big waists live. The hardware facilities are completely incomparable with hotels of the same level in the same location in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou.

Absolutely loved my stay at the Sanderson - and was surprised to see that it’s still on point some 23 years after it opened. The service was impeccable (big thanks to Andre for the especially smiley service) and the rooms were huge! I tried out two and was very happy with the Deluxe King that I ultimately settled on. Bed, and bed linen - great, also appreciated the enormous floor to ceiling mirrors. Wonderful natural light and view from Room 601 - the proximity to the lift didn’t even bother me! And lastly - I was worried that the decor might feel a little dated. It definitely is of a certain era (was giving me 00s flashbacks in the best way) but I found it really charming and it brought back some wonderful memories. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

This hotel gives me a better feeling. Conveniently located on a hillside, trains and tracks can be seen in front of the hotel. Although the hotel facilities are a bit old, the rooms are clean and tidy, the bathrooms are large, and the bathrooms are comfortable. The hotel’s breakfast is particularly rich, varied and elegant, at £11/person. The front desk service is also polite.

The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

Good location, right next to Trafalgar Square, next to Tesco express and Macdonald. The hotel room is also large. Friendly service, you can order Chinese food with just eat. The room has a microwave. Hygiene is average, seems gray, and the bathroom has a slight odor. There is no own parking lot. There is a cooperative parking lot on the other side of the square. You can park temporarily at the door and drop your luggage before going to the parking lot. Parking is 44 pounds a day and about 37 pounds with a hotel coupon. There are actually two hotels here, one is grand and the other is cq. I booked grand but lived in Cq. I do n’t know how to arrange it. When the hotel is not busy, it is sold at 7-800, and the price is good. After all, it is close to the Thames and other attractions.

On the day of arrival, because of the early flight, I arrived at the hotel very early and could not check in. We were in London for my step-son to donate his stem cells to Anthony Nolan. This hotel was the absolute ideal location for us getting to and from the hospital. Location: 15 minute uber from Kings cross. 10 minute walk from Madame Tussauds and Regent's Park. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. The Metropolitan (next to Tussauds) was lovely for dinner. Baker Street underground here also. Check in: smooth and quick. Staff were lovely. Check out: easy and quick. Restaurant: Beautiful. We only ate breakfast, which was your usual buffet, cereal, pancakes, toast, yogurts, fruit etc. Food was delicious and the staff very helpful. Room: lovely, spacious, clean and quiet. There was a desk, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and shower gel/shampoo. If you forget any toiletries, speak to reception. We forgot our toothbrushes and they hotel provided these for us. Bathroom was spotless (shower isn't very powerful). There are plenty lifts to get you to your room. The lift requires you to tap your key card to make it move (we had a laugh as we didn't realise this). We ended up having to stay an extra night in London. When speaking to the hotel, they could give us an additional night for £400. I definitely wouldn't pay that for 1 night, but if you can get a cheaper rate, we recommend this hotel.

The room was very clean, as is the rest of the hotel. Corridors and public spaces are all well maintained. The staff are very friendly, they helped us with taxis and local information. As we arrived by train early in the morning, they took our bags whilst we went and explored. Even though we got back quite late everything was ready for us to check in. Breakfast has a great buffet selection and really good coffee. The highlight was Atilia who took such good care of us over breakfast, she is very hard working and always with a smile on her face. There was not one problem encountered, check in and check out were really quick and the location is great.

Great location, walking distance to almost everything! Though the room was very tiny, you got everything you needed and it was ver clean. Great value for money given the price in Central London!
