The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

Very satisfied hotel, location is also very good, it is convenient to go shopping. Breakfast at the hotel is a la carte and very hearty. We stayed for seven days and tried many different breakfasts, all of which were delicious. The macarons in the picture were presented by the hotel one day and were pleasantly surprised. And the cheesecake downstairs is delicious and has a wonderful taste. Friends who like sweets can try it. Next time I come to London I will still choose this hotel.

About five minutes from Chinatown, the location is very good, quiet in the middle of noisy. The same 17-square-meter room is much more spacious than the Hilton Hotel near Paddington. Breakfast is a regular croissant breakfast with milk, coffee, juice, bread, poached eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns. The most important thing is to walk to Bond Street and the shopping mall Sey Fridge is also ten minutes. The price is really high, I will book this hotel again next time I come to the UK.

Sofitel London St James is in a fantastic location in the heart of London! A hop, skip and a jump to Piccadilly Underground and a short walking distance to Pall Mall, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Big Ben! The staff are all very professional and courteous and always greeted me with a smile each day. The onsite bar and restaurant were fantastic and the in-room dining menu offered many delicious options! It was my 'home away from home' for a 12-night business stay and I enjoyed every minute of it! If my travel budget allows, I will return! Thank you!

Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

Good location, right next to Trafalgar Square, next to Tesco express and Macdonald. The hotel room is also large. Friendly service, you can order Chinese food with just eat. The room has a microwave. Hygiene is average, seems gray, and the bathroom has a slight odor. There is no own parking lot. There is a cooperative parking lot on the other side of the square. You can park temporarily at the door and drop your luggage before going to the parking lot. Parking is 44 pounds a day and about 37 pounds with a hotel coupon. There are actually two hotels here, one is grand and the other is cq. I booked grand but lived in Cq. I do n’t know how to arrange it. When the hotel is not busy, it is sold at 7-800, and the price is good. After all, it is close to the Thames and other attractions.

W/End away in London. We were looking for a hotel close to the river Thames & St. Catherine’s Docks inc. Tower Bridge & St. Paul’s Cathedral. Eventually we found the Clubquaters Hotel in St. Paul’s. which was was spot on for location. The hotel was superb, great facilities, inc. a gym. the room was lovely, Reception staff were very helpful. Just off the Reception is a direct link door to the superb Cotes Restaurant, so we could start our day off with a great Full English Breakfast. Yum…Yum it was spot on! The location of the hotel is superb….St. Paul’s Cathedral right next door…a Bell Ring away….the River Thames including the famous Millennium Bridge, a short walk away. Close to St. Paul’s Underground along with city bus stops and numerous extremely convenient shops., couldn’t fault it. Spot on!

We weren't sure what to expect as we had never stayed in a 'pod' before but we were suitably impressed. A few minutes from Picadilly Circus tube station, it was clean and comfortable. This hotel really is our home from home. This visit was booked so we could attend the theatre and see Sister Act. We received a very warm welcome from the doorman John as he welcomed us back to the hotel. It is lovely that you are remembered and greeted so warmly. At checkin we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel with a courtyard view. We always ask to have a street view room so we’re disappointed. Very quickly this was acknowledged and a new room was allocated. After a quick freshen up we headed for afternoon tea. We have enjoyed afternoon tea here before, but new cakes and such a varied array of teas makes this an joyous adventure all over again. The service is second to none and so much food to enjoy. John arranged a taxi for us in readiness for the theatre so we could relax before we left. On return from the theatre we enjoyed the cocktails in Donovan’s bar and the bar tender and waiter were an asset to the team, so friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. After a fantastic nights sleep and an amazing breakfast in our room, it was time to check out. It is always sad to leave such amazing surroundings and staff, but we are looking forward to visiting the Rocco Forte sister hotel in Rome in September and returning to our home from home Brown’s in October!

This hotel is very clean and well located. The second time I stayed at this hotel, the last time I was on a business trip a few years ago, the company booked on the extranet platform, and the stay was good. This is a personal trip, but there are some different experiences. The room is divided into five stalls. Because of the 28-inch suitcase, I don't want to live in such a crowded place. I set a club room in the middle stall (32 square meters). Open the door of the room and enter the bedroom through the narrow aisle. It can basically reach the standard of ”go to bed when you enter the house”. The luggage can just be unfolded, but it is stuck between the wall and the bed after expansion. There is no walking space. To go to the bathroom requires a large Jumped over. A small window, the scenery outside is moving, strange pipes accompanied by the low noise of the machine. The contact hotel was told that there was no room to change, and that the room was full (obviously there were plenty of rooms on the night of each booking platform), and contacted Ctrip, saying that ”the hotel has been contacted, the room type is correct, as for the noise, there is no way out of room,” If you are afraid of noisy, please keep the windows closed ”... I booked a room with breakfast and welcome fruit, but the hotel said that Ctrip did not inform, so no fruit without breakfast. After contacting, the hotel even said ”Give me breakfast for you.” The price at the time of booking is obviously early. Why give it away? As a Ctrip Diamond member for many years, I do feel some discomfort. Do I have to choose an overseas platform channel to ”please stay” when I book an overseas hotel?
