Our stay at the Conrad London St. James from March 16th to the 20th was truly amazing! This stately looking luxury hotel is physically located in the heart of London within close proximity to all the wonderful ”must see” attractions. The neighborhood appeared very safe, close to public transportation and if desired, very easy to find taxi service. Staying at this fine hotel allowed us to experience a ”royal stay” from the moment we arrived and were warmly greeted at the front door. Customer service is an obvious priority as set forth from the front desk to their cleaning crew. Their attention to detail rates 5 stars in every way imaginable in my opinion. The entire hotel is immaculate, the staff is professionally trained, extremely pleasant and very efficient. The lounge was wonderful,, the breakfast offered was over the top and the Blue Boar Pub was very comfortable and spacious filled with a happy clientele. An excellent value!!!

Highly recommend this wonderful hotel. Excellent location with Buckingham Palace being just a few minutes walk away. Reception staff are a credit to this hotel, very welcoming and helpful as are the restaurant staff. Rooms are AMAZING, we stayed in a superior double which had underfloor heating in the bathroom, lovely toiletries and shower, luxurious bathrobes and slippers. Loved the turn down service. Never seen a television like we had, fabulous. Even though the restaurant is in the basement it felt light and airy and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious.

The real estate upstart is a new landmark in London. The surrounding power stations have a lot of background and you can take a good look around. The room is not clean, there are hairs on the chairs when you check in, and only one bottle of water is given the next day. We booked four rooms in total They also bring their children, and all of them are low-floor rail houses (as shown in the picture). It is close to the railway and there will be a little noise at night. I don’t know if this is the same arrangement for Chinese people.

Good location, right next to Trafalgar Square, next to Tesco express and Macdonald. The hotel room is also large. Friendly service, you can order Chinese food with just eat. The room has a microwave. Hygiene is average, seems gray, and the bathroom has a slight odor. There is no own parking lot. There is a cooperative parking lot on the other side of the square. You can park temporarily at the door and drop your luggage before going to the parking lot. Parking is 44 pounds a day and about 37 pounds with a hotel coupon. There are actually two hotels here, one is grand and the other is cq. I booked grand but lived in Cq. I do n’t know how to arrange it. When the hotel is not busy, it is sold at 7-800, and the price is good. After all, it is close to the Thames and other attractions.

Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

The fly in the ointment is that the air-conditioning is not good enough. In winter, I took off my jacket and it was a bit cold in the room. It was okay to sleep under a quilt. This room type does not have a table, only a small coffee table can eat. The check-in time is written at 15:00, noon I checked in directly after 12 o’clock~ I need to pay a deposit of 50 pounds, I can only swipe the card, and I don’t know when I can get it back.

Overall experience Was amazing . Was able to check earlier because my flight got to London in the morning. Staff was so nice and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location with views right across the river. We found the staff friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. The room & bathroom were a decent size and everything seemed to be immaculately clean. We were surprised to find only one set of towels in the bathroom so called down to reception to request another set. 25 minutes later no extra towels had arrived so we called again. Eventually another bath towel was brought to our room. When a booking is for 2 people, I'm not sure why only a single set of towels would be put in the room, but we also shouldn't have had to call twice for this. The room was very well insulated for sound, so even being on the main road we heard very little traffic outside through the night. It also has great blackout curtains so no light came into the room. The only bad thing for us was the bed - it was far too hard and sloped into the middle so only certain positions were suitable to sleep otherwise you'd roll into the other person. Neither of us slept at all well because of this and both had backache the next day. We didn't have breakfast so can't pass comment on the restaurant etc. We probably wouldn't stay again as it was a very bad night's sleep for a pretty expensive night stay.

I only saw reviews from other people after making a reservation (non-refundable...). After reading the reviews, I decided to go. (Just in case, it is recommended to bring a fly club, towel, toilet paper, slippers, coffee pot, paper cup, etc.) Some hotel rooms are good and some are bad. (Hopefully a good room will be assigned) There are several staff members working in shifts, and some are friendly. It seems that they are trying to remodel little by little (I can understand that it is a cheap accommodation in a very expensive area). Victoria Station/Coach Station is within walking distance (about 10 minutes), and Pimlico Station is 2-5 minutes on foot, and transportation is convenient. When using the bus, number 24 on the road in front of the hotel goes to key tourist areas (Trfalgar Square, Palace, Soho, etc.) If only a good room is assigned, you get used to it and it's good.

The feeling of staying at this hotel for a week is: convenient transportation is the biggest highlight of this hotel. The bus terminal is just two or three minutes away from the subway station. The room was very clean, the breakfast was very rich, and the British style was very strong. The only thing is that the room is a little smaller, there is a window but it can't be opened, it is a bit stuffy, but there is air conditioning, and the ventilation function is not bad.
