Booked 3 rooms as we were in Sleaford for a family wedding. If someone had described this bed and breakfast to me I would have argued against it in favour of your standard type. Wow was I in for a suprise, looking through reviews after the event it gets described as quirky but I don't think it gives you how much thought must have gone into making quirky something special. We arrived on Friday evening when the place was busy with people enjoying the start of the weekend but we were made welcome and showed to our rooms. All 3 rooms were amazing with recycled furniture and who would think a wall covering of corrugated sheets and a picture would look so amazing, we had a washing machine in a small kitchen area ( not sure if it works) which somehow felt right. We had two double's and a twin room and everyone said the bed's were very comfortable and the bathrooms were all different but spotless. Each room had plenty of talking points - mostly about how the owners thought each lamp/ picture or bedside tables would look, but they looked fantastic. Room's all had tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge with fresh milk and we were told to request more if required. Before moving on I would like to add that you can come in when you want as your issued with codes to enter the yard then the building which we used on Sunday night. Breakfast was well covered with bread/cereal/fruit along with the full English which was cooked fresh and was presented exceptionally well and tasted just as good. Pancakes also went down well with some of our party, nothing was too much trouble and again just ask and it was done, so a massive well done. Another of the highlights was Hayley who seemed to be head cook and bottle washer, nothing was ever a bother. She took time to do the personal things that often gets overlooked, she took time to ask how our wedding had gone and how we were going to spend our Sunday, all were genuine questions and appreciated. Watergate yard is an exceptional place that is fantastic value considering breakfast for two is included in the price. We would look to book the Watergate before anywhere else when we are next in Sleaford. Many thanks to all for making our stay a pleasure. Thanks from the Francis family.
