"Maggie who works in the reception at King's Lynn long Sutton. She is extremely friendly & lovely to speak too. Maggie was very helpful & pointed us in directions for local amenities, best ways to get to McDonalds by foot safety & where we can take the children for a play. We came as a football team with 7 young ladies with parents(Under 11 years old). We all spoke about how nice she was & how she engaged with each of us all, we all spoke highly of her whilst eating at the McDonald's restaurant across the road. The hotel was very comfortable for us all but she made our stay even better. Mrs Logan"

The Anchor Inn ★★★

"Absolutely disgusting place! Never EVER have I been to such a dirty place. From the wet slippery metal steps that you have to climb to get to the accommodation unit, to the carpets, bedding, and towels! The decor is not only old, but it too is dirty. (No headboard on bed, and so the wallpaper is brown where heads have leaned against it) The bedding itself ... I wouldn't let a pet sleep on it! Stained pillows (1 had no protector the other was threadbare, both were vile!) The actual bed had a spring mattress. I didn't attempt to lie on the bed, but sitting on it gave me an idea of how uncomfortable those old springs were. The windows were full of cobwebs. The skirting and carpets were dirty. The bathroom was from the 70s and needed a good scrub. The door handle was falling off, and we found it hard to lock/unlock. Then.. as i was desperately trying to find alternative accommodation we heard loud noises in the corridor - 2 or 3 men clearly drunk, at 17.30, and I really didn't feel safe "

King's Lynn Caravan & Camping Park ★★★

"I did not stay at this place due to an emergency admission to hospital of my daughter, but had to enter ratings to continue my submission. So on the basis of what happened I have given the lowest rating for each although I cannot comment on what it is actually like but the following should make the reason for doing this clearer. This hotel refused to cancel my booking before the travel date when my daughter became ill a couple of days prior to our stay. She was taken to hospital but discharged later the same day, still quite poorly 'as deemed viral' but wasn't sure we would make the trip and decided to play it by ear. Then she seemed to be a bit better so thought we would try to go but on the day of the booking, she became even more unwell and was rushed to hospital as an emergency with suspected sepsis, and admitted for various scans and tests. I contacted the hotel who still refused to refund under the circumstances, and Trip.com was not helpful either, they said it was down to the provider to decide. To add insult to injury, I have been charged twice, once by the caravan park even though we did not attend and again by Trip.com but they are denying it was them as they said the proof I sent them was not from them even though exactly same amount and I have not used the credit card for anything else, it's a brand new card. So now having to go via bank to get both payments refunded and investigate the scam that appears to have happened by giving my card details to trip.com. I will not use either the holiday park again for being so unsympathetic to the situation and inflexible, or Trip.com as they are obviously not a secure payment site."
