Spending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time. The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful. The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring. Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city.

If you are planning a trip to Longyan to see the old Mulan-style tulou’s土楼, I recommend booking your accommodation here! Living in these rustic yet super clean surroundings adds to the experience. The hotel owner, Stephen, is extremely helpful with planning day trips to the different villages in the area (at a fair price), so there’s no need to book anything before talking to him. Overall, I felt welcomed by the family - and the food at the inn is good too!☺️✨

Our stay at the inn was fantastic! The owner is incredibly kind and hospitable, and helped arrange transportation to and from Xiamen providing great suggestions for nearby scenic areas to visit. The food at the hotel was delicious. I highly recommend this Inn for a wonderful stay, delicious food, and fantastic views.

Very helpful owner who is the 6th owner of the Fuyulou (Fuyu Building). I suggest you shall book the hotel first before you book for any other tour arrangement at tulou. The hotel owner will be able to provide a very personalised tour arrangement with reasonable price and with local advise. Hotel is clean and feels like home. Food is good too at the hotel. We had our dinner every night at the hotel. Very highly recommended stay, food and tour.

Nice and comfortable stay. The Inn owner is kind and hospitable. He also help to arrange transport to and from Xiamen and the visit the nearby scenic areas.

We stayed for three nights and really felt at home right away. Very friendly hosts. He organized daytrips according to our wishes. Could lend bikes to get around the village. There are Lightshows and drones at night. Kids enjoyed as well very much ☺️

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Stephen and his family who run this beautiful historic rustic inn. Our room was simple but clean and warm - we were very happy. Stephen was also amazing help with arranging our touring around the tulou sites nearby as well as getting us to and from Xiamen. A stress free streamlined experience. Also can I compliment the craft beers in the fridge! And Italian coffee for breakfast. Happy customers :)

Living in Wufeng Tulou is different from living in a modern hotel and the experience is wonderful. The boss provided warm and considerate service. He met us at the entrance of the village and enthusiastically introduced the legendary history of the building. We had a candlelight dinner with fresh ingredients and delicious taste. For breakfast, we had a big bowl of noodles with eggs, meat and more than we could finish.

I was going to book two double bed rooms, but they were sold out. I was about to give up, but the boss recommended a 1.2m twin bed room. The two beds are even bigger when put together. The homestay is a Tulou renovation with a lot of historical charm. The boss and his wife are very welcoming, and the food cooked by the aunt is delicious.

The boss and his wife are very enthusiastic in their service. The courtyard of the homestay is the most attractive. It looks very nice. The mattress in the room is also very comfortable. The decoration is online. This is a good recommendation for visiting Tulou

Highly recommended for those who like ancient villages and intangible cultural heritage. The inn is located in Fuyu Building, the most historic building in the Tulou. The host is very welcoming and the service is attentive. The environment is also very good. If you like earth buildings, you can try staying here. The food is delicious and the mountain tea provided is delicious.

I'm so happy to be upgraded! I took my retired parents to the Tulou for a self-driving tour. I am especially grateful for the hospitality of the fifth and sixth generation owners, who made me feel at home. Facilities: The room is decorated in a simple and generous style. I like the style very much. It's so rare to have a private bathroom in a Tulou. Environment: Superb~ The complete three-entry courtyard is so comfortable. Hygiene: Very good in horizontal comparison. Service: If the full score is 100, I am willing to give 105 points. I am not afraid of the owner's pride if I give 5 more points. In addition, the clay pot chicken soup and white-cut duck are super delicious, recommended~

A very amazing homestay, in a century-old earth building in the scenic area, the owner's family of four generations are very welcoming, and the dishes are also delicious! It is clean and hygienic, using disposable face and bath towels. Thumbs up 👍The owner, who was born in the 80s, is low-key and has high emotional intelligence.
