nice to have buffet breakfast every morning (albeit limited food options). the location is far from city centre, suitable for people with good fitness and don’t mind walking to and from the centre as there’s no public transport basically - polar summer, no problem; polar night, weather may make the walk harder. staff were friendly and helpful. cooking amenities and dining space were adequate and guests could enjoy dinner together after cooking. there’s a polar bear sign at about 50m up the road from the hotel, and the mountain view was great especially covered with snow.

Amazing for budget travellers, as it is much cheaper than other accommodation in longyearbyen. However, the rooms are considerably smaller, and the walls are quite thin so it can get quite noisy. The biggest disadvantage is the distance from the city center, you may need to walk a good 40 minutes to get in and out of the hostel

Staying at Guesthouse 102 was an unforgettable experience. Located in the heart of the Arctic, it offers stunning views and a true sense of peaceful isolation.

The room was great, so as the service. The only downside is the location, which is abit far from the city centre
