I recently stayed at Hotel Angeleno and was pleasantly surprised by the value it offers. The room was clean and comfortable—on the smaller side, but perfectly fine considering the great price. The location right off the freeway is very convenient for getting around Los Angeles, though you can definitely hear freeway noise. If you’re sensitive to sound, I recommend requesting a room on the quieter side of the building.
One of the highlights of the stay was the top-floor restaurant, which has an amazing panoramic view of the city. We enjoyed dinner there because there aren’t any shops or restaurants immediately around the hotel, and the atmosphere and food made it absolutely worth it. Breakfast was also a nice perk—it’s included, with just a $5 service fee. They even offer free wine during happy hour, which was a pleasant bonus.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel also provides complimentary round-trip Uber rides to nearby spots, which made exploring the area much easier.
The only major downside for me was the valet parking. At $40 a day, it felt pricey, and it wasn’t very convenient when we needed to grab something from the car or wait for the car to be brought around.
Overall, Hotel Angeleno is a great place to stay if you want good value, friendly service, and excellent views. Despite a few inconveniences, I would definitely come back.
