Beautiful hotel in Cabo but if you plan to go into the city very often, the location can be inconvenient. I recommend renting a car if you stay here. Other than the inconvenience of the location, everything else was amazing. Especially the food at the Nobu restaurant

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service. My wife and I selected Nobu because it is situated outside of town and it seemed like it would be a bit more low-key than some of the other options in the greater Cabo area. We were pleasantly surprised with our selection. It was, indeed, the right choice for us as we were looking for somewhere to relax and reset. We weren’t interested in traditional tourism activities or proximity to the town; just comfortable room, good dining options, and great service in a beautiful, relaxing environment. We succeeded in those things, as the room was great, all the restaurants wherein we dined were fantastic, and the service from start to finish was outstanding. (Note: I’m sure Nobu offers plenty of options for activities, we just did not seek them. Also, we did arrange an Uber to town one afternoon and it was an easy and relatively inexpensive process - roughly $20USD)  It was notably windy and could feel cold at times; the temperature of the pools could feel a bit cold too. But during the heat of day, it was quite refreshing to have that breeze and cooler water. Our service by the pool was fantastic, so overall we had a great experience.  Admittedly it was a bit of a bummer that the beach area wasn’t really suitable for use during our stay (May 2023). It appears swimming is forbidden or highly discouraged at all times due to the currents, but not sure if the beach itself is more accessible when it is less windy out. Regardless, my wife and I enjoyed our time at Nobu and found our stay to be exactly what we needed to wind down and enjoy ourselves.

If you want to be able to swim in the ocean...can't do it here. WINDS. Be on the beach? Sure, but you'll have sand blasted at your face the entire time due to the WINDS. Lay by the pool? Only if you have your down jacket and blankets covering you. WINDS. The staff kept telling us it was ”unseasonably” windy (as they all had matching jackets and baseball hats on. JACKETS!!). All the locals told us ”it's always like that over on the ”Pacific Side” - We tried having a drink at the outside bar...lasted about 5 minutes...went inside. WIND almost blew our plastic cups (yes! plastic at Nobu) off the bar. We had an Ocean View room. Couldn't see the ocean from the room...only from the balcony which was so windy we couldn't be up there much. And that wind drops the temps down almost 10 degrees from anywhere else in Cabo. Seriously! One of the restaurants, Pacifica, was CLOSED THE ENTIRE WEEK. The swim up bar at the adult pool - CLOSED THE ENTIRE WEEK. All staff standing around because nobody was there. Paid resort fees for amenities we couldn't even use. The only decent thing was the food (we ate at every restaurant). The ipad tablet in the rooms indicated the steak restaurant bar opened at 3pm so we decided since it was too windy outside to have a drink, we'd go there since we had just eaten there the night before and knew it. We go down and they tell us they are closed until 5pm. WTH? We spent most of our time taking ubers and taxi's to downtown and flora farms instead. Also...balcony slider doors shook and made noise all night and day due to winds. And oh yeah...you'll be right near the water but won't be able to hear any crashing waves because all you'll hear is WIND. And the flies are almost as bad as the wind. Even if the temps were in the 90's, the winds would still be annoying.
