Hotel Los Gatos

Very disappointed in this property and it's staff. Was assured a specific room when made reservation (confirmed 2 times.) Was told room was occupied when went to check in. Offered lesser room at same price (no discount for room without balcony), settled for similar layout suite with balcony next to restaurant instead of downgrade. Told had to wait for room to be cleaned...would let us know when ready...as we sat right in front of the check in area for all clerks to see us. After an hour, asked if room was available yet reminding them we had changed rooms cuz ours was occupied even though promised that room specifically, and they said (in a curt voice) yes, it had been ready for some time, and that our original room was NOT occupied, but had some ”mechanical” problem. So which was it? Occupied or mechanical issue? And why had none of the clerks told us it was ready before I had to ask after waiting an hour? The room we were given in it's place was indeed the same floor plan, but dark and dingy. Carpet stained and looked old and worn and dirty. For a room that was costing us $640/night, it was a HUGE disappointment. Also, no Valet to help with luggage, skimpy amenities in room, no shower cap. Room was noisy, but tolerable. At that price, I expected it to be posh and upscale and the staff to bend over backwards to make our experience exceptional. Bed was sagging on the side closest to the bathroom. Would NOT recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here before in better times when the restaurant and bar were open and you could order wine or beer and a snack and sit on the outdoor patio. We had a suite which was roomy for a party of 3 for 3 nights. We enjoyed the fireplace. The best feature of this lodge is the open grassy area that all the buildings face. It is lovely. The rooms do need updating, however. In our room we could have used a coffee table and there was a big draft coming in from under the door. Simple weather stripping would fix this. We know times are hard & we did enjoy having a patio to sit on and used the lawn area for a picnic.

Everyone takes their time to greet you and make you feel comfortable; especially a lady name Regina I believe her name is who always asks how everything is or went. Super fabulous customer service on every end; cleaning staff, kitchen staff, front desk, etc. I am a happy camper!

A great hotel check-up, super classic and elegant, with the feeling of a royal residence, the room is spacious, comfortable and quiet, and you can see squirrels and hummingbirds at any time. Although the hotel itself is not big, the surrounding environment is also a peaceful rural feeling like a fairy tale cottage. The hotel is on the side of the highway, but it’s not noisy at all, and there is no sound at all. I went to the airport after staying for one night. I went to San Francisco International Airport for half an hour. . Comparing the smallness of British and Japanese hotels, I strongly recommend this large and beautiful hotel.

I am in love with this hotel and the staff. I don't know them personally but after staying here a few times I feel the customer service is on point. The breakfast is fabulous. Everyone takes their time to greet you and make you feel comfortable; especially a lady name Regina I believe her name is who always asks how everything is or went. Super fabulous customer service on every end; cleaning staff, kitchen staff, front desk, etc. I am a happy camper!

We have stayed here before in better times when the restaurant and bar were open and you could order wine or beer and a snack and sit on the outdoor patio. We had a suite which was roomy for a party of 3 for 3 nights. We enjoyed the fireplace. The best feature of this lodge is the open grassy area that all the buildings face. It is lovely. The rooms do need updating, however. In our room we could have used a coffee table and there was a big draft coming in from under the door. Simple weather stripping would fix this. We know times are hard & we did enjoy having a patio to sit on and used the lawn area for a picnic.

Very disappointed in this property and it's staff. Was assured a specific room when made reservation (confirmed 2 times.) Was told room was occupied when went to check in. Offered lesser room at same price (no discount for room without balcony), settled for similar layout suite with balcony next to restaurant instead of downgrade. Told had to wait for room to be cleaned...would let us know when ready...as we sat right in front of the check in area for all clerks to see us. After an hour, asked if room was available yet reminding them we had changed rooms cuz ours was occupied even though promised that room specifically, and they said (in a curt voice) yes, it had been ready for some time, and that our original room was NOT occupied, but had some ”mechanical” problem. So which was it? Occupied or mechanical issue? And why had none of the clerks told us it was ready before I had to ask after waiting an hour? The room we were given in it's place was indeed the same floor plan, but dark and dingy. Carpet stained and looked old and worn and dirty. For a room that was costing us $640/night, it was a HUGE disappointment. Also, no Valet to help with luggage, skimpy amenities in room, no shower cap. Room was noisy, but tolerable. At that price, I expected it to be posh and upscale and the staff to bend over backwards to make our experience exceptional. Bed was sagging on the side closest to the bathroom. Would NOT recommend this hotel.
