The owners were charming on day one but had shouting arguments in front of guests. The food was dire and largely inedible including a paella with tinned peas and carrots in it. I was charged 25€ instead of the 23€ price list. Rude, dishonest owners let the hotel down which was very pretty, clean and had fantastic views. Although the hotel is called “rural” it’s unbelievably remote and not accessible by public transport. It cost 18€ for a taxi from Los Lilos so hitch hiking was necessary. If it wasn’t for the lovely bar across the road we would have been stranded without any food because the restaurant closed for the rest of the week after the paella shambles! Needless to say I definitely won’t be going back to that hotel but I will make a special trip back to the village to see Memet and his friends for awesome food, drinks and a very warm welcome. This local bar gave us something that Theres and Boudila didn’t…smiles, authentic food and helpfulness.
