My husband stayed at the resort this week for a conference. At check-in, he was given a room with a beautiful courtyard view, but as night fell, the tree frogs started singing. They were very loud and he had trouble getting to sleep. He requested to be moved and within 30 minutes was relocated to a new quiet room. He was very impressed with the high quality customer service from the front desk and bell staff!

TERRIBLE! Such small rooms, no AC unit, the bathroom was tiny, and I’ve never been sicker in a 36hr span than I did staying there… woke up after the first night with sinus issues, then got worse and worse.. the only time I get better was when I left the resort to golf… there has to be mold in the rooms because that’s exactly what these symptoms are like

What an awesome historic hotel to visit in southern Indiana. There is so much to do here from golf to the ******. Everything is very well kept and the staff are very professional and accommodating. This is a complete resort hotel with great dining options and so much more.

The room was comfortable but fairly small. As it was out of season there were only a few of the restaurants that were open. There is a very nice market with grab and go food options and a Starbucks. The Starbucks also had a small ice cream service with 6 flavors. The ice cream is homemade, probably high fat but it is excellent. We did have 2 meals at the Power Plant, both of which were very good. We also got food from Pluto’s Pizza which was really good and some of the best deep dish pizza that I have had. We did do a good walk around the grounds of the golf course and also spent some time at the indoor pool. The pool area is nice but not useful for swimming and the hot tub was located outside rather than inside. It’s a bit of a trek for us to get there but we’re considering going back in the Fall.

Visited French Lick for the first time and stayed at this hotel last summer. The hotel left a fanstatic impression on me and my family. The hotel rooms was a little bit small, but full of charcter. We were delighted the event programming for kids and adults. During the day, we enjoyed sitting by the two pools and bowling. At night, the kids care gave my wife and I the opportunity to go to the ******. The ****** was clean, safe, and did not smell like smoke. The parking was free, and there was a shuttle which would drive hotel guests around the quaint town. We are certainly looking forward to traveling here again next summer! Exce

We have come here every year for 8 years. So much has changed. Price increase not only double room price but activities once included are not. Pet fees 175, activities free now 20.00, row away bed 25.00. nothing included anymore with high room rate. Food was better this year at the hotel. Gorgeous hotel

They advertise that they have a pizza place, bowling alley, and arcade for children and families, however on one of the busiest Saturday nights of the whole year, they rented it out to a private party so nobody else at the hotel could use it. They said you could still get pizza delivered to your room, but nobody ever answered at the pizza place to take your order.

You guys have so many great ways for entertainment. Then being on the radio scanner I was surprised and looking around then you guys have so many shops and food. I recommend doing the valley inn grill. The bowling alley is a good choice for new people. And the Christmas decorations. I'm also going to the different areas

Very disappointed after our stay here following the Polar Express train. The lobby is cute and has some historic elements, the rooms are terribly outdated. No historic charm, just outdated and in need of lots of trim and wall repair. Our room was very basic two queen bed and the bathroom resembled a hospital bathroom. Lotion and hand soap containers attached to the counter had dust and residual soap/lotion from last usages. The extra blanket, wasn’t folded in the drawer and we suspected not clean. My husband called down to housekeeping to ask for two wine glasses to enjoy wine we brought with us in our room and we were redirected to several other departments to be told they could only provide glasses if we purchased wine. Apparently the nearly $400 room only supplies plastic glasses. Service all around was lacking. We ate a very subpar meal at the Power Plant Bar and Grill and they began vacuuming the entire restaurant at 8:15 with a full restaurant of people. Service, ambiance, cleanliness are all in need of serious improvement!
