I have stayed at Hotel Continental several times over the years and it never disappoints.
It is good value for money, the hotel is spotlessly clean, very close to the sanctuary and with several shops, including restaurants and take-out venues, nearby. It has a welcoming feel to it and lovely, helpful staff. They changed my room since there was availability without any fuss when I found that the original room had a bath and I have problems getting in and out of one (admittedly, this was my fault as I should have stated so during the reservation, but I'd never had a room with a bath before and I assumed all rooms had showers).
I was informed that the fourth floor was all recently fitted with air conditioning, which is not a common feature in Lourdes hotels as far as I can remember. Even though I had a room partially overlooking a busy street, the double-glazing did its work and the noise didn't disturb me at all. The buffet breakfast is also very good for a three star hotel.
Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Lourdes.
