Rydges Resort Hunter Valley ★★★★
"Big compound with activities like golf, pickle ball, tennis and swimming pool. Hike around the hotel compound before our lovely dinner at Gather. Idea hotel for families with kids"
Valley View Cottage & Acres Hunter Valley Wine Region ★★
Adina Vineyard ★★★★
"The wines range from undrinkable filth to quite bad. The olives are excellent. Service inattentive and bordering on rude."
The Table Guest House ★★★★
"I booked The Table as my guest house accommodation while attending a wedding in Polkobin (The Convent). I could not have been happier with my choice. Jo is an incredible host and chef and from the moment I arrived from Sydney later than planned to a smiling host, offer of a drink, a warm fire and 3 course meal. I knew I was in for a delightful weekend. The bed was so soft and cosy. The 3 course breakfast was incredible. Jo went out of her way to offer this busy mum the R&R she so very much needed, even dropping me at the wedding the following day, a good 25 minute drive away. Her adorable dog Harvey is an added bonus. This gem of a place feels like a warm hug. I will definitely be back - and am tempted to book out the whole place out (and Jo) with friends. Romantic, restful and cosy. Give this local business your business. You won't be disappointed. Tours, carriages, lunches and dinners were available on request with as much or as little conversation as you would like. Jo seems to know exactly what her guests need. Thank you again for such a personalised service Jo! See you again."
Vineyard Hill ★★★
"Positives - great view, location, fairly new air con so efficient, good showerhead and ok bed. Unfortunately, it is dated and needs a lot of TLC. Can't believe we paid $360 for two nights. Just look at the photos I took. They speak for themselves. On the website, it mentions a restaurant but it looks like it has not been functioning for a long time. In our "chalet", there were things in the fridge and freezer from previous guests, cobwebs galore in the room and the lounge was stained and squeaky. We put a blanket on the lounge so we could sit on it. Kitchen and bathroom were made to look like it had a row of feature tiles but it was a "stick on" feature that was peeling off. I don't know what constitutes a "resort" but this is not a "resort" that you want to stay at. This place should be shut down until repairs and a deep clean has been done. My purpose in writing this review is not to shame but to warn others not to spend the money. Stay somewhere else. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place and I will never go back. I will look for other accommodation in the vineyards. "
Tuckers Lane Boutique Accommodation ★★★★
"The perfect example of why I prefer ‘owner operated’ boutique accomodation. Clearly a lot of passion, thoughtfulness and care resulting in those ‘little things’ that make a difference. Accom itself was great, very peaceful location, well maintained. Recommended"
The Boathouses at Leaves & Fishes ★★★★
"Leaves and fishes is a place like no other in the Hunter Valley. As soon as you arrive you are greeted by the most beautiful grounds and I instantly felt a sense of calm. My husband and I LOVED our boathouse. With its king size bed, incredible bath and beautiful outlook how could you not! We actually planned to do more activities while we were in the Hunter, but we loved the serenity and our boathouse so much we actually spent most of our time there. An absolutely beautiful place to stay and we will definitely be back. Thank you for such a beautiful stay. Sal and Mark"
Emma's Cottage Vineyard ★★★★
"A truly wonderful place to stay! Our cottage was beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped! The kangaroos were great, posing for photos! The wine was delicious!! Highly recommended and will definitely go back "
Bluebush Estate ★★★★
"We recently held our annual offsite at Bluebush Estate with our team of 11, and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue. Lauren, Gareth, and the entire staff were incredible, attending to every detail with exceptional care. They were extremely friendly and provided us with the perfect space for team building and all our activities. We will definitely be in touch in the future, and we highly recommend Bluebush Estate to anyone looking for a fantastic retreat."
